Foreign AffairsRe: France Becomes First G7 Nation To Recognise Palestine As A State by poseidon12: 8:09am On Jul 25, 2025
Way to go France. The international community need to end the dehumanisation and wanton killing going on in Palestine. The Israeli government should be held accountable for the atrocities going on there. The Palestinians also need to recognise Israel's right to exist. Israel has come to stay.

Olamideayomide:
Which unity is this man talking about?

Buhari that almost scatter the country with ethnic bigotry
Where life of cows is more valuable than human being
Abi when he allowed Fulani herdmen to cause mayhem and unleash devilish act on farmers.

Please make everybody just write RIP/something and pass jaree.
Don't mind the "eye service people". Buhari left a more divided country.
PoliticsRe: NNPC Refineries May Never Work Again — Dangote by poseidon12: 7:54am On Jul 11, 2025
Kastonkastroll:
Some people don't just want the refinery to function. If not, how much has been pumped into that refinery since 1999? The useless thing should be sold to private sector. Imaging pumping trillions of naira into something that is not working and won't work because of corruption.

No be like pouring water into basket be that shocked
They should be sold as scrap. They cannot sell to the private sector. No investor will buy it at this time.
SportsRe: "We Are Sorry But Wish Her Well" - Okowa Reacts To Favour Ofili's Turkiye Switch by poseidon12: 8:50pm On Jun 22, 2025
TallNigerian:
You see my people....no one understands Ofili better than I do.

Having graduated from the University at the age of 18, my result wasn't computed for a whole year and when it eventually was, a course was missing. They couldn't find my damn result. I didn't fail, I didn't pass - it was missing outrightly.

Long story short, after dragging with my department coordinator for a session, they "found" my result and I was mobilised for service at 20 (three months to my 21st birthday).

After completing my service, I started job hunting. I taught in a secondary school in Abuja for 12k monthly. When minimum wage was 18,000. It couldn't sustain me but I needed to avoid idleness by all means.

I have always been someone who advocated against Japa. I loved Nigeria too much that the idea of migration never crossed my mind for one day.

When recommendation letter was still recognised for employment in National Assembly, I made NASS my second home. I was running errands and menial jobs for Honourable Members just to win their favour in turn for employment recommendations. I will write a story about this one day.

There was a day the security men at NASS mistook me for Julius Berger maintenance staff and they beat hell out of me because the police officer who accosted me could not read the recommendation letter with me and mistook it for a forged gate pass. Illiterate police officers beat me mercilessly.

I still loved Nigeria. But COVID period broke me. I still re-evaluating my life choices. I had a master degree yet nothing was working.

All my friends who migrated legitimately all seemed to be doing far better. Married with kids when I could not even figure out what I wanted to do with my life.

Today, I regret not leaving when I had the chance to. So sincerely, the Nigerian system feels like it is designed to frustrate and waste the productive years of its talents and youths. You will think you are still young and time is on your side but by the time you realise, life has flown past you.

The AFN had 5 whole years to pacify Ofili and correct their errors......just look at the useless communique they issued, trying so hard to vilify the poor girl after wasting 5 good years of her productive life. When was AFN gonna do right by her? When she is 30 years?

Heck, I read somewhere that Mikel Obi once paid the flight tickets for his Nigerian team mates during an Olympics with the expectation that NFF would refund. Over a decade later, they never did.

If you have the opportunity to switch allegiance, do so with speed. Make money, name and fame, then come back to contest and elective position if you wish. That's the only way Nigeria will respect you.

It's painful to write all of this but it's the truth.

Please don't be silly. I beg you!
Do you know that core federal civil servants do not even get any gratuity anymore? It's that bad in the public service now. The police officer is even considered lucky to get 2m, go and ask retirees from Federal Ministries how far
Nigeria is a dream killer. I fully support her decision.

Better to face racism in a developed foreign country than to face tribalism in your own country.

Where are the northern elders and why are they silent now that one of their own have strucked and the innocent lives have been wasted in their evil bid to expand their emirates?

Where is the useless chief of defense staff who couldn't protect his people in southern kaduna?
The recent killing in plateau state was the reason i didn't condemn soccer in edo state because those guys were carrying weapons which we are only meant for the armed forces

What if they were not hunters but invaders who has gone to look out for weak villages to hush they have for upon them when they list expected it?

Now if someone has rounded up this paper responsible for the killing in plateau state and wiped them off, their sponsors would have come up with an excuse that day where either hunters or innocent northerners

Nemesis with catch up with all of you one day
Well said.

I used to say this too until I saw a recording of how these terrorists attack. It's crazy guy! It's overwhelming. They strike with heavy assault artilleries, shooting sporadically in different directions. I now realized it's impossible to face them without equal fire power. These are the same weapons they sometimes use to over power even military camps.
The people don't stand a chance except they have exceptionally intelligent plans to extirpate them, like ambush, Arial counter-attack, setting up explosives for them etc. But the people lack these experiences.
These Fulani bandits are generally assisted by the security agencies. If you attack them, the Nigerian government will come after you.

EducationRe: Why British Boarding Schools Are So Eager To Open In Nigeria - BBC by poseidon12: 1:24am On Apr 02, 2025
saddler:
Something about this post reeks of inferiority complex.

You are indirectly trying to say Nigeria educational standard is inferior. You are indirectly saying having a British teacher is better than having a Nigerian.

I won't be surprised if their tuition fees are in British pounds.

Our ancestors were forced to pick up the English language and the ways of the whiteman. But today, we are the ones even paying to do so.
Of course it is an undisputable fact that Nigeria's educational standard is inferior.
