Kobicove: Rules are rules, if your visa has expired then they have a strong basis to deny you entry.
Those Europeans they let in may have been more regular visitors who were known to them.
Let's be honest, Rabiu is a not a public person so the South African officials may not have recognized him You are wrong about why the Europeans were allowed entry without visa. Most developed countries have bilateral agreements that allow their citizens to travel to other countries visa free. |

A city with absolutely zero productivity. Yet, you see people spending millions in clubs and lounges.
And you wonder, what business are they into?
I can't think of anything that they produce in Abuja, such a barren place. Yet, you see apartments going for millions of naira... Why won't some people devise a means to survive?
If you calm down and study how Nigeria is set up, you'll agree with me that the set up and structure of this country supports fraud/crime

Nebes: Is this not supposed to be classified information? Should all matters of national security be made public? Just asking. Classified . Criminal action by government officials can't be a classified information. I guess you also expect bribe taking by government officials to be classified information, right? Nuhu Ribadu needs to explain to Nigerians what he intends to do with the dangerous and banned poison he is alleged to have imported. We need to be assured that it is not intended to be used on opposition figures. Dele Giwa was murdered by a letter bomb from the military government of IBB. We don't want such acts to repeat itself. If you are a decent person and a patriotic Nigerian, you should be happy that El Rufai is exposing such evil acts. |

Same Buhari that worked against Nigeria's interest. He opened the borders for armed Fulani militants and empowered them to move into Nigeria and take over, with protection from the DSS and the Nigerian military. Under Buhari, Nigerians were prevented from defending themselves against Fulani militants. If you did, Fulani controlled DSS and Military will invade and arrest you. That was treason. Yet ignorant and tribalistic Nigerians are still bestowing undeserved honors on him. Nigerians truly deserve the leaders they have. |

This is the same tactics that was deployed during GEJ regime when they wanted him out by all means but Tinubu will not tolerate it and we the entire southern Nigeria will support Tinubu and his policies. Speak for yourself. There is nothing like Southern Nigeria. What we have is South East, South South, South West. As for supporting Tinubu, he has been acting like President of the Yorubas. bjdon: What did we expect? When they paid ransom for the last batch of kidnapped students, it was only a matter of time before they would strike again. If we are REALLY serious about dealing with this menace, then the following MUST happen.
Ribadu should be sacked as a NSA, and replaced with a seasoned military officer, with an intelligence background.
A stare of emergency should be declared in ALL states with recurring terrorist activity. Initial duration 6 months to be extended as required. Military administrators should be appointed.
The FG should pass a law making it illegal to negotiate with, or pay any kind of ransom to kidnappers.
The Armed forces and security agencies should br tasked with clearing all forests. Human rights suspended, and carpet bombing authorised. We don't need any military administrators. We need State Police urgently. States should be allowed to form and equip their own Police. Also Ribadu, the NSA should be replaced promptly. Ribadu has always been incompetent in whatever role he handled. |

MadPolitician: This accident is doing a serious damage to this countrys image internationally. Nigeria is being framed as a primitive environment and I have seen a lot of foreigners stating that they will never visit Nigeria over this.. Unfortunately, we don't have trusted hands in the ministry of information to curtail stuffs in a slilled way.
Some of these information need to be guarded for the country's image. The issue of the ambulance was not handled well. The narrative out there is that Nigeria has no ambulances! No one from the government side came up with any story to curtail the damages. They were all busy with Peter Obi ..
This story is being followed globally and has tainted Nigerias already battered image badly. Government should be appointing well skilled hands in the area of managing information dissemination. Not using such positions to reward political lackeys who are only interested in primitive tribal tussles. But Nigeria is actually a primitive country. |

humberjade: That's the way it should be. We all cry "saner climes, saner climes"...that's the way things are done in saner climes. What is left is for the government to use this generated revenues judiciously. So what recourse do you have if the government embezzles most of the money? I am sure you are aware of Malami's corrupt acquisition of 212 Billion Naira properties after serving as AGF in Buhari administration. Tinubu and his supporters are talking about tax and how it is the norm in developed countries but they are not talking about accountability and how it is also the norm in developed countries. So far, Tinubu has refused to disclose the agreement he signed with France on this tax issue. To build trust, there needs to be transparency on both sides. |
