Exactly March last year that IRCC started conducting CEC/PNP draw. I never knew any about Canadian experience class then, saw the draw notification on phone, I started shouting all over the place. I thought I had got ITA, until some one mentioned it on this forum “ it’s not general draw, it’s CEC”. Keep hope alive guys, FSW will surely return again. Amen.

Hello house,

Our application has been approved and CoPR is valid until October. However, I don’t think we can land before then. We are expecting a baby in July. With the current restrictions, the baby might need to be born before we land. Also we are not ready to move permanently because I’m still studying so I’m not sure we can soft land. IRCC advised that if family composition changes then our application will be reevaluated. Does anyone have a similar experience? And does anyone have an idea what the reevaluation be based on?

Thanks

If you can travel down there for one or two weeks . IRCC are very slow and if you allow the COPR to expire you could find yourself waiting endlessly

What NOC that falls under skill level O A or B can an Inventory Officer use for express entry (Worked in a supermarket using software to track inventory). Also a graduate of Computer Science.
Also can an Academic IELTS be used for Express Entry or must it be General. Was previously going to try for admission but due to cost of school fees, I'm wondering if I don't just try out for Express Entry instead

Whatever you've got to do, you've got to do fast as age isn't on your side no more. As from 40yrs, you're going to start losing 10points till 44yrs (while the remaining 5points accruable from age is lost at 45yrs) as against the 5/6points being lost between age 30-39yrs. So, from the foregoing, your spouse obviously isn't in a good stead to be the PA anymore as he doesn't have any points left to earn from age at 45.

My recommendation is that you need to be the PA, wait and evaluate your Masters only and max-out IELTS at LRWS = 8.5, 8, 7.5, 7.5. Start learning French asap and plan to write TEF Canada in 8-10months time to achieve a CLB 7. You can earn additional/bonus 50points from that feat in addition to the regular 16 points awarded for a CLB 7. Your spouse can then augment your score with max 20points from 8777 IELTS score as a secondary applicant. Evaluating your spouse's BSc is also a source of additional CRS points but you might not be needing that in the end depending on the prevalent CRS cut-off by the time you're finally in the pool.

As an alternative to TEF, SINP is a great option to explore, especially if you have a sibling in Sask to claim 20 awesome points that can shoot you way above 70points with respect to SINP's eligibility grid. But this is if your NOC isn't included in the SINP's list of excluded occupations. OINP is almost out of reach as you need to accumulate at least 460 CRS points while in the EE pool.. You will get more valuable information on Page 1.

Wishing you all the best now!

On this journey you basically have to read up and research a lot, so read up on the NOC
.for IELTS, it has to be general for immigration

Hello House,

Quick inquiry pls.

If i do not have PPR/ copr, but have a family member who is a PR, can I still apply for an authorization letter, under the extended family member category?

or is the authorization letter only for COPR holders?

Thanks

You can PM to join my study group. Holds virtually everyday 9pm.

To your question, you've to do the 3 modules if you want it to be evaluated because if you do just 2 Wes will return it as incomplete and again BSC will only give you transcript with no certificate if you option to do just 2 modules. For now, it's only Wes that evaluates BCS. CES, and others doesn't. It stated categorically on their website. Not sure of ICES though. And by the way evaluation with ICES takes about 30 weeks now

Please does it have any implication, I am the principal applicant and my wife's date of birth on my EE profile is different from the WES report. I hope it will not bring issues in future. Thank you

#PersonalOpinion based on the fact that you ALREADY have a valid COPR expiring in October.

Given the COVID impact on IRCC's operations, adding any extra dependents (spouse or children) may involve a delay in hearing back from IRCC, if you decide to have baby here and add him/her to your application. On the other hand, the response may not be delayed, we really don't know for sure.

Alternatively, since you already have COPR why not try applying for an AL on compassionate grounds (medical)....apply now (March) well before baby is due (July) and follow up on a weekly basis (to show how important it is to you). If the AL is approved, then:
* The snag is you must be prepared to land finally and provide proof this......not soft landing.
* The upside is that baby is an immediate citizen, you don't need to worry about getting a response or COPR revalidation or passport for baby in the era of scare booklet or scheduling medicals or saving more money for POF to cover an extra dependent.
