It's actually mind boggling. Why do people do this ? They'll say it's "business". But it's really just inhumane and immoral. Like why? You don't even have to split the pay in half. Just pay something fair. Paying the person 2-4 Naira will still leave you with a healthy profit.

Besides, a niche like Golf is very streamlined and rare. He'll be getting nothing less than $50 -$100 for 1000 words. He is really offering the person that will do all the labour 0.3% of the cost. I can never get my head around the crass greed of the African man.

The worst part is some will insist they will only pay you once a month. Or that you have complete 20 articles before they pay you at all. Some will say "wait till whenever client approves," - In the most condescending manner. It is ridiculous. At N1 per word All these damn conditions! Why do we have to do this to ourselves ? Why? I honestly get sad and dumbfounded when I see it.. I really want to know what goes on inside these people's minds when they do these things.
