Though I couldn't achieve my target for the week because the midweek FOMC release dealt with me, I have managed a break even and a little bonus.

Congratulations to this week's winners, no trade placed yet remain unbeaten. Na una be the real oga them.

Technical Traders how consistent are you?

I'm good in news trading (fundamentals)at least in the currency market, was making insane returns consistently, yes i lived off my profits (at least up to the very start of covid, now news are picking up but not as much volumes as before)

when it comes to the technicals it seems like one is chasing one's tail. You win today, lose tomorrow,
and depending on risk level suffer account drawdown despite being disciplined sticking to same strategy.

Although this differs from the stock market because before you lose a %age of risk then that company must be closing down having their shares trading at 0.

In this business you cannot win all your trades, it's one thing to just take a profitable trade, it's another to be consistently profitable even with losses and actually withdraw.

I'm not even looking for 20% growth m/m on a trading account, a 6% profit on an average m/m for a financial year is an excellent return when you trade with larger margin.

Now in a global market where we retails are at the bottom of the financial foodchain, Are there really consistently profitable technical Traders that just trade off of what the big dogs are doing?

lol hedge fund. Even investors are cautious of that percentage

news(fundamental) just brings volume, volatility, movement of price quickly over a short time, it doesn't be show the direction of the market.

If you are conversant with technical analysis, you will know the market direction to a great percentage.

it's during news that price will move over 150 to 200 pips within some minutes, that's volatility, it doesn't show immediate direction.
