I think it is better you go for kia rio 2009.

If you must go for honda civic, go for 2005 and avoid its 2007/08 because of electrical issues they normally have.

Before you buy any car, find out how much the engine costs. That’s a major decider for me, I need to know that I can easily replace the engine if the untoward happens.

I don't use the 2007/ 2008 models of Honda Civic, but from an extensive research on them, they come off as very reliable and cheap maintenance cars.
