After painstaking digging and excavation of information online and offline i have come to the conclusion that Igbo Language has been around for atleast 15, 000 solid years and has birthed countless other tongues.

Yoruba gave igbos their name, igbo means forest that is forest people - because igbos move southward to the forest where they are.
