Even if you've not been following the vaccine development, the article OP was informational enough to educate everyone who actually reads it.

As at the time of developing this Astrazeneca Vaccine, the team studied the originally existing and most dominant strain of the virus. However, since then, there has been a couple of very contagious and stubborn variations of the original which originated from China.

I think there's a British, South African, and a Brazil strain of Corona Virus. Generally, all the vaccines are less effective against these new Variants, especially the Astrazeneca Vaccine. And that should be understandable.

The European Union are ready to go to war with Astrazeneca because there's a shortage of the vaccine considering their agreement. That alone should tell you a lot.

The US president and their leadership took Pfizer's vaccine.

Common sense should tell you that it is the most effective.

Bro it's d idea though. Foolish NAFDAC said since d vaccine is produced in Europe and certified by WHO that the wouldn't carry out their own test too which is really a bad idea. The don't know human conditions or population conditions are not the same. for a drug produced for Asians or Europeans will have a different bearing on africans especially with the climate, food and other conditions associated with populations. instead the open their arms to whatever foreign countries give out thinking all is good for them...Now we have lots of countries in Europe too especially central Europe and Scandinavian countries rejecting astrazeneca cos of lots of side effects. This isn't purely about the safety question of Astrazenica. The vaccine has long been declared ineffective against south Africa variant. But it seem other vaccine aren't adequately effective too but the media noise around Astrazenica probably prompted them to drop in on the order of priority

See how you just distort fact. Oxford-Astrazenica is British and the fuse around it was apparently created by the European Union. On the day European medical agency declared the vaccine effective for people of all age group, French president Emmanuel Macron announced there is no substantial evidence to show that it is effective for people age 65 and above.
