Lagos waterways are safer than those of the Niger Delta...that's why you rarely see the heavy presence of military police like those in the Delta (particularly Rivers State).

However, armed robbers have taken advantage of the porous waterways as their escape route whenever they rob the island. I have witnessed many of them....even one happened along Addo road in Ajah this year.

With Laswa having state-of-the-art terminals, Lagos has been making efforts toward developing water transportation. This news will definitely boost that drive. However, the security of the players is critical. Those guys can afford to fly themselves to Port Novo if the FA is broke.

What is wrong with travelling by sea? Your precious cars and gadgets are they not transported through shipping? It is not everything you will be shouting naija no dey work,we all know that.

I hate it when people lie, why don't you say the truth, there is no road to travel, the road from Lagos to Badagry is not motorable. Which traffic? Shameless government. Most of the players will be sick since they are traveling by sea for the first time. I bet U Nigeria will loose the match if they travel by sea. What happened to air?

By sea is not a mode of transport na the vessel wey matter. If Dangote's yacht is available, no problem....so NFF how are they travelling.... by canoe, jet ski, tugboat, speed boat, hydrofoil, submarine, hovercraft or the damn 'Symphony of the Seas.

Oga, 'boat' is a generic description of a WIDE VARIETY of watercraft of all manner of sizes, shapes, configurations and uses. Submarine captains and aircraft carriers all refer to theor vessels as boats.

If NFF gives them a dinghy with paddle and rope abeg no vex all na boat.

I like it then. I have never travelled by sea and all the bad news we hear about water transportation scares me.

[/quote]Stop being annoying.. Nigerian politicians have failed. Nigerians are so suffering, no stable electricity, no water, no security. These are the reasons people agitate. It is normal for people to agitate and get frustrated in such a country.

We need to be very critical of our leaders and stop pretending like all is well with Nigeria while the same politicians are busy buying citizenship of other eastern European countries with their stolen wealth.

I really don't like Nigerians like u who make it look like all is well with Nigeria. People are being slaughtered on daily bases and raped, people can't sleep well becus of sound of genertor, terrible roads, extreme poverty, after 60 years of independence while the ruling class are balling so hard. Porto Novo is just a stone throw from Lagos..
I see a valid reason for this, there's no airport in Porto Novo, and they'll have to land at Cotonou if they'll go by air... From Cotonou they'll need to travel back to Porto Novo by land which is equivalent to travelling from Lagos by land, the distance is almost the same..
So, considering the traffic along Badagry express way down to Seme border, it's more logical for them to use the sea. They shouldn't spend upto 3-4 hours on water before getting to Porto Novo..
And I'll suggest they lodge in Hotel presidential in Adjina around Ponto, it's very close to the stadium..

You guys had better win, otherwise, Government will leave you all to find your way home yourselves.
