Hello guys, I'm Yungchop. I'm a graduate of Unilorin 2019. you can check the Unilorin aspirants thread of 2014, you'll find me there.
I applied for MBBS, was admitted for Physiology then I didn't make the crossing GP, was transferred to Plant Biology where I graduated from after having an extra year, it wasn't a smooth ride, it was a battle of Es and Fs.

The issue is, I have always been a technical person but I hated and don't understand math that's why I didn't go to the technical field from the onset and chose MBBS which happens to be one of the worse decision I have made in my life. During my undergraduate days I did some math courses and I always had nothing less than C! in core courses like calculus, then I said to myself if I can pass calculus and all those further maths topics with ease, why can't I pass basics like quadratic and all that?

So I have decided to go back to school and face my fears ( calculations) and get the degree I always wanted. I'm going for engineering, which engineering has more practical aspects? broad? and not too hard. I have Elect Eng in mind but what do y'all say?

Scoring 250 should be a piece of cake for me and that's my aim, I'm not after a high score. cut off for Eng in Unilorin has never been up to 250.
Thanks in advance.

About Age, I'm 24 and 5 years will make me 29 by graduation. But due to the fact that I have served, NYSC is not an issue, I can decide not to serve since I have done that already and even if I want to, I'll be 29 by then so I can still serve.

Well I like your zeal, hope you know what Unilorin is now part of ASUU? So that 5 years isn't possible. Also I don't think you can serve twice.

Hello house.

Can i replace chemistry for economics in my jamb subject combination? I'm applying for computer science in U.I and LAUTECH.

in U.I, it is under the faculty of science while it is under the faculty of management science in LAUTECH.

the truth is, i detest chemistry, i was only able to pull through in high school because my teacher was very good.

The rumour may hold for schools like U.I and B.U.K that are yet to release their admission list, but for others that have release theirs, it is what it is "a rumour"

Elect/Elect is good and valuable provided you have a zeal for the practical aspect as well which will enable you be a technician as well as an engineer.

Computer Engineering is great. Software Engineering is the cake these days. So it's up to you.

Wishing you success.

You have to go for what you have passion for, you don't need anyone to tell you what you want.

It's only passion and you liking what you do that sees you through.

If it's something you don't see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Don't go into it.

You personally do your research and choose what you want.
