Better take the job and work on getting quick promotion. There is serious peace of mind in civil service. The salary may be meaningless but when you start collecting your share of students levy and other internally generated incomes, you will know that your salary is actually about 80k and not that 24k written in your employment letter. And you're definitely going to get promoted quicker than those NCE holder you met there. That's when the big bucks start rolling in (in coming to America's voice. Lol)

It's still better than teaching in private sec school where the work is times two and d pay is about the same, no job security and no pension, I can go on and on....
