Football has gone beyond having a playmaker play the no 10 role. Your wingers and fullbacks can be the creative force in your team. It's not a must to have your no 10 as the main chance creator. Also Ihenacho was not playing like your regular no 10. Aribo was also playing relatively high up the pitch.

Guys like Chukwubueze and Onyekuru should not be starting for the national team. Iwuala should start the next game in Lagos, he brought in so much energy and drive when he came on for Onyekuru.

You can only guess as to why the coach subbed him off but there could be numerous reasons such as tactical switch from attacking to defending; simple rotation given the academic nature of the game; response to opponent tactics; simply wanting to give Onuachu a chance etc.

Secondly, whether he played well is irrelevant because the debate was not whether Iheanacho should play or not. You argued that another play maker should play behind him and that is why I called you out.

On football a second striker occupies the same space as an attacking midfielder in a 4 4 2 formation. So once you have a second striker there is no space for another playmaker behind him. To do that would need that the two players will get in each others way, choke the space, and leave the other midfielder exposed.

As such, you rely on your wingers to take up the creative burden. Football basics and you clearly don't know these. Just learn instead of talking.
