Your suggestion:
People from places outside Owerri capital city to develop their hometowns while politicians leading your state plough the federal allocations of the state and its LGAs in building Owerri district, particularly build roads to improve the market value of their landed properties they acquired in Owerri all the years they have been in government.

Loads of buildings built by former governor Rochas Okorocha in Owerri are either abandoned or now marked for demolition.
Foolishness makes you people drive your politicians to act as if all government development landmarks in a state must be built in the state capital.
An Awo man like you who denies his hometown because of his pimpping and hotel business in Owerri can’t advice anyone on self-help development issues.
So what do u want everyone here to do with ur lamentation? Go to the appropriate quarters where ur voice will be heard and cry to them.

I'm still active as much as I can be. Mind you I was almost the only one keeping this thread when Okorocha was Governor because there was a lot of development to post. I post according to development or to defend Imo State against image battery by jealous neighbours.

Orlu and Okigwe are good enough by Nigerian standards but more can be done. Akwaibom innerstreets are no different or should I post pictures of Uyo inner streets? Okigwe isn't bad as seen in this 1st photo while the 2nd photo is Akpazak in Uyo city.

Maybe major roads but never the inner city roads. Eket, Abak and Ikot-ekpene are not semi urban if they are the cities you mean. When I was still in primary school Eket had all the roads tarred just like Oguta Ameshi in Imo State has all the roads tarred. They were done by oil companies and individuals not Government.

Ha ha ha. I don’t think there is any other insulting epithets left in the dictionary that you have not employed to describe yours truly.
But I am here to educate people like you that if only one spot - Owerri - in Imo state remains far ahead of rest of the state in modern development, it doesn’t augur well for the state.

Those who have head understand what I write about, others who have no head continue with their insulting epithets.

1 Does hope understand investment drive?

2 As an investor will you trust Hope's administration judging from his past?

We both can't deny the fact that illegal funds constitute a reasonable junk of investment worldwide, so the morality talks is quite watery, though decent personality is a plus

If Hope Uzodinma doesn't understand investment promotion drive, he has subordinate who understands it, governance is a team work for a reason.

We all want our state to progress, regardless of whom who occupies the Douglass House.

Imo devt budget, however lean, MUST be used to develop the entire state evenly, not applied by misguided leaders for urban development and expansion of only your Owerri home area.

Onye oshi. You lack common sense because you don’t understand that by using the devt budgets mostly for devt of Owerri, that Owerri shall soon be a hell hole to live in as population of people from Orlu and Okigwe areas continue to migrate to settle in Owerri.

This is how your people organized a honeymoon on flooded road in a rural area Orogwe near Owerri and posted on NL to blackmail governor Hope Uzodinma to come and asphalt the road which has been under construction.

Only most greedy set of people ignore the rotten urban roads in Orlu and Okigwe but blackmail government on NL with a rural road in Owerri area.

Before anselm87 says you are stupid, be informed that their agitation all over the place for successive governors of Imo state to forget other urban towns in Imo state but build them Owerri state capital first - that agitation found sympathy in misguided state governors of Imo state since 2007. That’s how inner urban roads in the other urban areas of the state have not been attended to since 2007. Successive governors since then demolish and rebuild in Owerri.

In your own world, Owerri where you truly must have come from generates the devt money for Imo state, therefore right to plough nearly all the devt money on urban development of Owerri?

Unknown to you, that Orlu must be contributing more than Oguta to the funds for development of Imo state.

Little money from the oil producing company in Oguta goes to the federal government and a tiny percentage of it paid to IMSG as 13% from derivation.

Your stupidity in not recognizing nature that Orlu is the headquarters of Imo West Senatorial district robbed Nd’Igbo the commensurate political representation at Abuja when some people went for Orashi state instead of Njaba state proposed.
That stupidity still holds you to not even understand that many of the states who profit from shared revenues from oil do not contribute oil money to the National coffers.

The same foolish idea you have against development of other urban areas in Imo state outside Owerri is what keeps your Oguta you grade as rural area unattended to by IMSG.

But even that 13% that comes is bigger than what orlu contributes to imo in a month.

How did you come with that?

Federal allocations to the 27 LGAs of Imo state have been funneled to building boulevards, flyovers, tunnels, underground park, etc in Owerri since 2011, while you ignorantly chase shadows. Left with poverty in your LGAs outside Owerri area, you are left with migrating to live in Owerri.

It’s like natives of Owerri whose area with landed properties appreciating tremendously and becoming stupendously rich, have taken out the grey matters from the skulls of many of you people.
