GeneralFarouq:
I have a question sir...How do u describe the bandit in other part of the country,
They the bandit say they do what they do for money and if course neglect from govt.but mind u,some of these bandits ain't even Nigerians hence FG owes them nothing, and yet u see scholars going to the bandits and preaching hypocrisy around .. would u still refer to them as Islamic bandit or just bandit ...
In another vein, would u refer to ipob, which by Nigeria's definition is a terrist organisation. ESN and co as just terrorist or I beg ur pardon Christian terrorist...
What I observed is, when bad pple who are Muslims carry out an act, we immediately ascribe it to Islam, but when other groups not being Muslims carry our usurpation against govt, we can them milatants freedom fighters and rest...
Oga, on this forum there is a report that clearly shows all these bandit as of fulani extraction, on this forum there is also report that the bandits where imported from Niger, mali,Chad and Senegal for political reasons hy APC people should Jonathan not go they unleash mayhem on Nigerians...There is also on this forum report that the fulani bandit where trained by Boko Haram and same on this forum Mailagia Obadiah said the Fulani bandit and boko haram are one and same...further on this forum there is video done by the bandit that said if you put a gun in a man's hand and leave him in the forest what would he do other than feed himself using the gun...!!

From all the reports the bandits religious inclination is islam either we like it or not and as time goes on alliance would surely be made...!!

Now people shouting ISIS is Nigeria but you just understand that the same fulani and islamic terrorists would want to ride on the back of the ISIS people to victory...!! When push come to shove the bandits would declare for islam...!!

There is even a voice note on this forum where Guminwas telling the bandits that the soldiers killing them are not moslem soldiers but rather Christian soldiers and a federal government employed soldier who is suppose to be neutral brought the report to Gumi as acclaimed...!!

Bros just know that all inclination is towards the islamic conquest of Nigeria and we even got soldiers too who key in into the nonsense..!!

And to answer your question as regards ESN, esn is simply a child of necessity, if there was to fulani incursion in the eastern region of Nigeria, killing, raping and burning houses and destroying farms and the government looking the other way, there would have been nothing like ESN today..!!

If you must know tagging ipob a terrorist organisation is just a fulani conjuration and that tag only ends here in.nigeria where we all like to deceive ourselves but the world over know the atrocities the fulanis have committed with backing from some people in government..!!

I would advice you search and watch the interview with Gana done by Channels TV...!!

All one need do is just to connect the dots and you would see where the starting point of the line is...!!

I don't do religion so don't bloody belong to any side of the divide...all we want is the blood shed to stop and people respect people and stop trying to think that they are superior to others simple..!!

I did enjoy your Jokes, Basket Mouth is a Learner, cos you just made Comedy so easy Fam. Hall of Fame is waiting for you as GOAT.

Read again on your Submissions on Bandits and kindly tell how it's inclined to Islam? You claimed they were Foreigners brought by APC to destabilise Jonathan's Government. Oh.... APC is political Wing of Bokoharam - LMFAO!

You claimed further they were trained by Bokoharam..... LMFAO! Guess what? What caught my Attention more is this Excerpt from your Post - ...further on this forum there is video done by the bandit that said if you put a gun in a man's hand and leave him in the forest what would he do other than feed himself using the gun...!!

How is the Excerpt inclined to Islam if I may ask? Well I did enjoy your comical piece, especially how you exonerate IPOB and ESN of Terrorism.

Bravo... He couldn't link banditry to Islam, yet calls them Islamic terror..
The bandits are no different from ESN..
One group is dominated by Muslims, the other by Christian's... So if he can call bandit Islamic terror... Then he should call ESN Christ terror...
The pattern has always been "forget the cause just label the group according to their religious affiliations" If it Muslims fighting for alleged freedom, call them Islamic terrorist.
If it the Christ faithful, call them freedom fighters
That the hypocrisy that the world powers have set... BH is clearly a religious terrorist organisation.. but the bandits, their objectives are not to convert or force religion in anybody ... Just looking for easy cash.

We are too sentiment in Nigeria. We do like blaming others what we are also guilty of. This Thread is one of the sanest Threads on this Blog. I enjoin it should be rid off of Posts that seem tribal or promoting a certain Religion over another.

On Paper, BH are Muslims. In Reality they are just Mercenaries feeding fat by brainwashing Ignorant Recruits to lay down their Lives for nothing. Larger percentage of Victims of BH Atrocities are Muslims. So is it reasonable to think they are indeed fighting for Islam?

Let's focus on Military Updates, keep supporting our Army and praying for them to succeed at all Fronts.

shut up farouq... Mohammed terror you mean...

Ipob is lead by a jew their primary faith is Judaism.
you so much want to drag Christianity into your Islamic mess, that you can differentiate Zionists/ Judaism from Christianity.
well at least ESN don't move about calling people infidels and reading some bible passages before carrying out their activities.

but why do you think they refer to BHT, Al qeada Al shabaab or ISIS/ISWAP as an ISLAMIC Group.

I'll tell you why; because they kill, maim or behead their victims, they read a passage of the Quran before carrying out their activities.
because sharia law itself spells terror( how can you cut off someones hand for stealing).

jihad is islamic, terrorists saw jihad and sharia as a way to push whatever ideas that enters their head.

kwara is a recent example of how Islam fuels terrorism.
if not for the tolerance in Christianity, ISIL would have simply entered kwara and easily recruit youths who already are taught to hate any religion that isn't from Mohammed.

you see young man, there's no way Christians can ever stoop low the level of forming a group that would shout JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD BEFORE BLOWING UP THEMSELVES OR IMPOSE MY WAY OF SERVING GOD ON OTHERS.

I repeat there's no single Christian terror group anywhere in world.

Christian killed innocent people's during the medieval period. The crusade was targeted against those who weren't Christian's.
Whether Islam or Christianity, they had fellows who killed because of their religion.

Please don't blame the guy much for what he wrote. Those aircraft you mentioned sound crazy and a lot of politics involved. Besides it doesn't make sense jumping from 3rd generation fighter jets to 5th generation fighter jet.

Nigerian should be looking around jf-17, J10, mig 35, SU30 and at most Rafael.

Su57 is not yet operational and F-35 is only sold to countries very close to US (politically).

But it is amazing, how the Talibans were never defeated.

First the Russians fought them, the United states and the world fought them, they were never defeated.

This made me realise that you can't defeat an idea...now the United states wants to broker peace with the talibans through negotiations.

Why didn't they think about that in the first place, the lost of lives will have been averted.

The tamil tigers were another determined militant groups who have birth to sucide bombing, it is interesting that after 24 years, the former president of sri lanka was able to defeat them and you are right that the present battle is the battle of the mind and heart....it is very hard to defeat an idea.
Taliban is difficult to defeat not because of some celestial capabilities they possess, but because of the rough terrain and who they are, the Mujahedeen that later Morphed to Taliban / Al-Qaida were tribes men who occupied 3/4th of the Afghan population & mountainous terrains, so imagine a war you want to defeat two major Ethinc groups in Nigeria in an asymmetric warfare, it is gonna be difficult & its gonna take a long time.
The only way to defeat the Taliban will be to declare war on the whole country.

OPENING ADDRESS BY THE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF LT GEN I ATTAHIRU NAM GSS CMH ndc (K) psc (+) FCMH AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE COMBINED CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF FIRST QUARTER CONFERENCE AND NIGERIAN ARMY OPERATIONS RETREAT 2021 HELD AT ARMY HEADQUARTERS COMMAND OFFICERS’ MESS ASOKORO ABUJA ON 29 MARCH 2021

PROTOCOL

1. It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the Army Headquarters Command Officers’ Mess, Abuja for the combined Chief of Army Staff First Quarter Conference and the Nigerian Army Operations Retreat 2021. As my maiden conference since assuming command as the Chief of Army Staff on 28 January 2021, this event offers ample opportunity: for us to brainstorm and interact on the state of affairs of the Nigerian Army, review our activities for first quarter 2021 while also planning for our training and operational commitments in the Second Quarter of the Year.

2. As you are well aware, I and my colleagues the other Service Chiefs took over command of our respective Services at a very critical period when the nation is facing daunting security challenges characteristic of a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment. This was rightly highlighted by the Commander in Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari, during his first meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff and the Service Chiefs. During the meeting, the President gave us marching orders to decisively deal with all security challenges facing the country.

3. In line with the President’s directive and my intent to rebuild the Nigerian Army into a formidable force, I conceived the vision of having “A Nigerian Army that is Repositioned to Professionally Defeat all Adversaries in Joint Environment.” To breathe life into this vision, I released my Philosophy of Command which has Readiness, Capacity, Continuous Leadership Development and Duty to Country as cardinal pillars. Readiness entails mission-oriented training, functional manning and equipping while Capacity will be built on the dependability of the Nigerian Army to accomplish any mission in line with norms enshrined in our core values and ethics. Continuous leadership development on its own will ensure that the Nigerian Army continues to roll out innovative 21st century commanders and of course Duty to Country entails loyalty and sacrifice to our fatherland. As formation commanders and Principal Staff Officers, your role is critical to the attainment of my vision. Therefore, I implore all of you to immediately key into the vision so that together, we can take the Nigerian Army to greater heights.

4. I am particularly pleased with the initiative to hold the Nigerian Army Operations Retreat as part of the First Quarter Conference after so many years. You will agree with me, that the retreat provides a platform to reassess the threat environment and review our operations with a view to identifying gaps that could be addressed in the planning and conduct of future operations. In this regard, I want to state that the Nigerian Army under my watch will remain resolute in decisively dealing with any threat confronting the country. Hence, I have directed that serious attention must be given to sustaining and improving the tempo in all ongoing Nigerian Army operations across the country. Commanders must therefore glean from my Command Philosophy to ensure that operational and administrative proficiencies of Nigerian Army formations and units are sustained and improved upon.

5. I am aware of logistics constraints affecting operations across the country and I am glad to inform you that the President, Commander in Chief has pledged to continue to support the Nigerian Army. As I speak, we will soon be receiving combat enablers that would enhance and boost our operations. Concerted effort is also being made to eliminate the threat of improvised explosive devices which has been a major impediment to troops and our operations in OP LAFIYA DOLE. Again, in order to increase our operational capabilities, I have approved the purchase of spare parts and directed that all damaged and unserviceable equipment in the theatre be back loaded for immediate repairs.

6. I want to assure you that I am determined in rebuilding the fighting skills, capacity, confidence and morale of our troops across the various theatres of operations. In order to achieve this, my top priorities for the second and third quarters of the year would be training. I will ensure that through functional training, officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army are equipped with the right competences and skills to effectively undertake daring missions in addition to developing special operations forces. This would be closely followed by procurement that ensures appropriate kitting and provision of protective gear, weapons, equipment and platforms. Administration is a key principle of war, hence troops’ welfare will also be given paramount attention. Let me however remind you all, that while no effort will be spared in achieving these goals, it is command responsibility to ensure the sustenance and maintenance of all equipment while measures must be emplaced to ensure sound administration of troops and their families.

7. At this juncture, let me appreciate all the officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army for their unrelenting sacrifice and efforts in ensuring that the Nigerian Army fulfils its constitutional responsibilities. However, as the saying goes, the only easy day was yesterday, as such, I will continue to demand that you redouble your efforts so that we can decisively deal with our adversaries or any group or person that threatens. The peace and stability of our great nation. So doing, we will achieve our end state of ensuring a peaceful and stable Nigeria. I will also be using this conference and the operations retreat to unveil my strategic plan for the year 2021, where I will be giving very clear directives of what I expect from all of you. Therefore, I expect to see directives emanating from these events and subsequently from Army headquarters translate immediately into proactive courses of action that will find solutions and deal with our numerous security challenges.

8. At this point, I wish to humbly convey my gratitude to the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari (Grand Commander of the Federal Republic) for his unrelenting support to the Nigerian Army. I want to use this platform to again pledge my unalloyed loyalty and that of every officer and soldier of the Nigerian Army to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to the President Commander in Chief.

9. Once again, I welcome all the participants, especially our esteem guests and retired senior colleagues whom we have specially invited in order to glean from their wealth of experience. I am convinced that at the end of this conference and the operations retreat, we would have a road map that will address the threats facing the country.

10. On this note, it is my honour and privilege to declare the Combined Chief of Army Staff First Quarter Conference and Nigerian Army Operations Retreat 2021 open.

11. Thank you and God bless.
