FORMER Acting Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sam Obi is dead. He died in the early hours of Saturday.

Circumstances leading to his sudden was not known as at press time, but a dependable source confirmed that his body has been deposited in a mortuary in Asaba.

The late Sam Obi represented the Ika North East State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly for three terms (2003-2015) and became Acting Governor in 2010 after Court nullified the 2007 election of former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and ordered a rerun.

Until his death, he was the General Overseer of Oracle of God Ministry, Asaba.

I remember when he was sworn into office by the then Chief Justice, Roseline Bozimo...

The useless mistake called Uduaghan was not happy about Prince Sam Obi’s three months tenure as acting governor of Delta State, infact, this drew bad blood between him and Uduaghan over financial interest.

Stop being wicked soul. He lost his two parents and couldn't come home to buried them or witnessed their burial. Yet you are wishing him dead now instead of sympathizing with him.

Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan was a failed governor in Delta state.

He performed so poorly as a governor during his 8 years misrule.

No wonder he is presently struggling to secure a senatorial position in his constituency.
