Nigerians so bitter and angry people. I'm sure the HR is one Nigerian trying as usual to look good before the management and putting the welfare of the people at risk ...BUT then the workers should go to court to press home their grievances and not violently shutdown operations cheesy

Even in America, those store workers don't make much, I don't expect their situation to be different.

What kind of reportage is this?

Can't they tell us briefly what their demand is?

Demand are
Better conditions of service
And payoff incase of change of ownership

Foodco will be flooded now... Slay Queens Dem... I really don't understand what people fancy in all these places...

This is totally wrong in a private organization. No union should be tolerated in a private setting... Imagine the employees that ran the organization down with loss still want to negotiate with new investors! Such gut. It is now obvious these people were stealing and corrupted as a staff. They should dismiss the yeye people and employ the ones ready to work.

The perishable foods and fruits in shoprite would be bad now. Imagine making additional loss for employer by locking down and making demands.

This is the reason why "Next Cash &Carry" in Abj is doing absolutely well more than Shopright. Shopright is a private business and unionism among workers is highly prohibited. Let them go through the appropriate channel not protest nor strike action.

Why would they get payoff because the company ownership is changing. Company ownership changes across the world everyday, but the contract between the staff and company as a separate entity remains in force.
