So somehow the gay(faggoat) - nairaland algorithm wants to correct me- can say anything against other people and their religion but when a response is given then it becomes homophobia? In the context of this discussion and using your logic, why should the bloody (faggoat) have the right to tell hotel owners what to do with their own hotels? And why does the bloody pervert feel he has the right to tell christians what to do with their own religious books? See this gay shit is a sexual preference not a government over any other view point opposed to their obviously, unnatural, feaces toying choice. The person is senseless if he feels been fvcked in the ass gives him a right to force other people into his line of belief. And if a gay(faggoat)has a right to dish disrespect to the belief system of the majority, I dare say he should be ready to be 'phobia-ed' regardless of the usual emotional blackmail of calling whoever disagrees with them a homophobe. His speech in this context is theophobia... so fvck them gays!! The gay mafia pretends to be the victim while they are infact, they are the oppressors who have allocated to themselves the rights and powers to destroy the person and careers of anybody that disagrees with them. If Bisi Ailment can speak disrespectfully aabout people's religion and their religious books then it is perfectly ok to call him out, even disrespectfully. pocohantas: |

We4all:It's not even a slight. A hotel is supposed to be a convenience for sleeping for whatever reason, for travellers, etc. It's meant to be comfortable and have the most basic of necessities. Some people need to be able to study their bible at night before sleeping, and in the morning during devotional, that's why thoughtful managements put a bible by the bedside. Why should that offend anyone? If you don't need it, simple, ignore it. It's just like the bathroom soaps/towels. You ignore if you don't need them. |

Makes sense how logical and humane you can be in many of your posts. I found that many people who can empathize with others are often dissociated from religious influence in their decision making processes. Also Most of my fellow believers have no logic . I don’t know how they come to conclusions on various topics and a lot of them are extremely unkind. Extremely. Not saying all atheists are humane though. As for me, I’m surprised you didn’t know my stand. it’s going to be hard to convince me that a higher power doesn’t exist. I truly believe in that. However I’m only a Christian because I was born a Christian (and I like what I’ve read about Jesus) not because I believe it’s the only true religion by which one can practice their spirituality. Other religions are valid too. So yea, I don’t believe the Bible is infallible. In fact I’m acutely aware of how the misogyny of their time greatly influenced what they wrote down and how they want us to believe God thinks. banmee: |

WoundedLamb:I think you are comparing "apples" with "oranges". I don't see sarcasm. I see a very real issue....whether he was playing or not. The irony, though, in your statement, is that it actually is a "forced issue" in the U.S...and which is slowly making its way into Nigeria. When pre-school, elementary, middle, & high school curriculums include "same-sex" lessons which the students must accept as standard, then that is forced. When beloved cartoon characters such as "Mr. Ratburn" in the series "Arthur", "Bert & Ernie", etc., introduce into or imply homosexuality when it was never there before, then that is force. When colleges & universities financially penalize workers/students/parents for having a religious conviction that directly coflicts with the newly-found policy, then that is force. It becomes a "you accept this, or we'll do that," sort of thing. I am not saying that Nigeria treats its homosexual population with respect (as a human being) even if it disagrees with the lifestyle, because clearly it doesn't...as I have been reading on N.L. On another note, hotels have never forced any belief on its patrons. You even have to open the drawer before a bible is even seen. Therefore, though it is in a certain place in the room, the choice is there for a person to decide if he/she wants to open it up. Murdering, ostracizing, alienating, discriminating, beating up people because of sexual orientation is wrong.....just as it would be if the situation was religious in nature. However, "forcing" a person who has a religious conviction to accept an alternative lifestyle or otherwise be financially penalized, ostracized, alienated, discriminated against or any other thing is wrong as well. |
