Hi guys, I'm a professional Web Designer and SEO strategist. I began my career in 2011 and quite surprisingly, I learnt my trade with the help of Nairalanders. I started designing websites in Joomla and each time I got stuck, I would get assistance here. Much love to you guys !

I have become a successful SEO strategist and coming back here to my roots, I'm proud to note that Nairaland has grown to over 30 Million monthly and still growing, that is massive! However, I would like to add my 2 cents on how it could further increase engagement, with perhaps a redesign for a improved user experience.

1) Add email alerts to users when people like or reply posts.
This will improve engagement as well as the overall user experience.

2) Improve navigation to enable users to find their posts.
When I create a post, I have to go to my profile and find my posts. A link on the right or left to show my post activity will further boost the overall user experience.

3)Internal messaging
Users can chat privately and connect instead of sharing external email addresses.

4) General layout.
I believe improving the overall design and layout can improve the value of the website resulting in further increased revenue.

I have designed many platforms. Contact me for a comprehensive portfolio of my work.

I would be glad to assist if Seun will let me apply my creativity and launch a new look Nairaland. - I'm confident I will implement changes that will have a positive impact on the website. I will gladly take on the role of Nairaland creative and user experience director.

please lets support nairaland no matter how they keep hurting us and banning us out for no reason,

lets just learn how to forgive them and move on to bring good developments to this forum

You are..its a simple machine forum

Have you considered the impact of the cron jobs with the server with the notifications? Even fb won't do this rather, there is a summarised option.

Some of your ideas are ideal but what makes NL what it is is it's uniqueness. I have custom built php script that solves all these problems you cited with additional features. See japaforum.com and badagryforum.com.ng and tell me your review.

I was also a Joomla starter here on NL but has evolved to WordPress now more.
