If he was aware that he was to be removed that morning, he wouldn't have gone for that assignment in owerri. The assignment would have been for the incoming IGP so as to hit the ground running.

Common sense requires that.

Also, he would not have been issueing crushing command and would have been more frugal with the issuance of "crushing"comand had he known he was going to be relieved that same day.
