What some of us elders can see sitting down, you youths of today cannot see standing from the tallest Iroko tree.

The Biafran war was a massive conflict.

2 million Igbos lost their lives.

There was mass starvation of Igbo people. Many also died of malnutrition and kwashiorkor.

If you think this did not happen on a large scale, go to every Igbo village and ask them where their civil war dead are buried, and they will show you. And I mean EVERY village.

All you youths shouting 'Biafra Biafra' need to cool down and research what happened the last time.

It was very terrible for the Igbos. They suffered greatly.

Virtually the entire world stood against Biafra and supported Nigeria.

Biafra was blockaded, by sea, land, and air. Nothing could come in or go out, for years.

Igbos were forced to eat anything that moved including cockroaches.

Cannibalism grew.

You honestly do not want a repeat of what happened back then.

The sad thing is that this twitter, SUV, smartphone, instagram generation is far, far, far, far, far, far less able to deal with such hardships than the 60s generation, if their reoccur.

Nnamdi Kanu to me, is an agent of people who want to destroy Igbos again, as they have become the most prosperous ethnic group on the continent, and therefore, must be cut down.

He could be an international agent.

He is in London stirring up trouble, and now the East is becoming a battle ground for federal troops.

In 3 years time, it could be ''worse than Syria'' just like Kanu promised.

Igbos, is THAT what you REALLY want for your region?

Igboland, the land of multi-million dollar village mansions, festivities, industries, factories, and fine, fast developing cities, turned to... SYRIA?

If not, get rid of Nnamdi Kanu, or that is exactly what you will get.

. please you have no right to speak for the igbos because I'm sure that you are not igbo, you can speak for your family or with your gullible mind speak for your community

""Some Igbos I know from that period felt they were misled into thinking that they stood a chance and were bitter when some leaders abandoned them""
Can you provide evidence??
I think you and Liar Mohammed graduated from the same department.

Can I go and bring the Igbos I know that felt misled into thinking that they stood a chance and were bitter when some leaders abandoned them" and present them to you as evidence?

No, not exactly, sorry. But I'm certain you have come across some Igbos who think Kanu is a fool, so you ought to be able to reason for yourself that some Igbos might have thought the 1966-69 leaders were fools too.

Have you not found Igbos who resent the "No vanquished, no conquered" solution? I am Yoruba, and I resent the fact that it is history swept under the carpet so I would expect you'd know Igbos who resent the fact their leaders agreed to it I'd think. Do let me know. I am interested.

Igbophobia is a mental disease that affects little people.
I'm trying to imagine what it must be like to always feel inferior to another person or group.

Pathetic little man.
I'm not sure why I feel a great wave of sympathy for this very poor little soul.

Why are you Fulani people pretending to be Igbos on social media and are so worried about Nnamdi Kanu instead of Buhari that gave him all the popularity and proved him right in every single way? I totally support Nnamdi Kanu today because i have seen through the Fulani agenda to enslave others as they did the Hausas. If you look through my posts, you will see that i used to be highly critical of Nnamdi Kanu until very recently when i exclaimed to myself that he was indeed right! Nnamdi Kanu has a keen sense of understanding the Fulani method of preying on a typical Nigerian's nonchalance to deeply undermine and enslave them. Conquest through deception and internal sabotage is the only Fulani agenda in Nigeria.

Before Buhari came with his Fulanization agenda, Nnamdi Kanu existed but too many people barely noticed him because Jonathan simply was not the type of sectional leader needed for people to take Nnamdi kanu seriously. Then came Buhari who started with 5% vs. 97% categorization of the country. As if to show Nigerians he meant every word of it of divisiveness, he truly made 100% of his appointments and excluded one part of the country. The same with almost 100% of federal projects. Nigeria is totally irredeemable today. Nothing can restore it to being the balanced country it once was even with all the flaws it had. Out of total hatred for sections of Nigeria, Buhari has totally worsened a bad situation and pushed it to the point that no type of dialogue can ever resolve Nigeria's problems.

To add insult to injury, he told his Fulani brethren from the Sahel to march to the same area of the country and prevent them from farming. Then gradually kill them from time to time until they are totally exterminated. Who does not know that Buhari declared a war against sections of Nigeria?

Truth is that unless an urgent attempt is made by people to reverse these damages done by Buhari and quickly allow the regions to truly govern their people, it will truly get worse and bloody for Nigeria. Its only a question of time as more people volunteer to fight for their freedom than remain slaves perpetually under Fulani people in Nigeria.

Such wise people. I'd add that while waiting for restructure, put the rest of Nigeria to shame by making the supposed Biafra area the envy of Africa. Or why must we, who's Chi must say yes when we Igbo Kwenus say yes, wait to develop ourselves until Nigeria let's us?

Note you've broadened to 1960-1969 Igbo leaders. Did all Igbo agree with 1960 Azikiwe?

I think kanu is a fool, and there are Igbos even here who think so too. And I never insulted the 1960-1969 Igbo leaders, but mentioned that some Igbos felt they were foolish and felt betrayed by them, which, to be honest, should be expected since not all Igbos agree with all the current leaders just as I don't agree with my own Yorubas who want what I consider to be a stupid ill-thoughtout Oduduwa Republic.

We too could start making our so called republic area the envy of Nigeria, but as you'd see if you checked, we are just a microcosm of the entire Nigeria with our internal tribal conflicts except on the more mini scale of villages just as Biafrans also are.

Even you typing this rubbish, I'm sure you're typing from the comfort of the western world.

Y'all are cowards! I'll start taking Nnamdi Kanu serious the day he comes back to his father's house to lead the fight from home. For now, he's a bloody coward!

We've heard this all before.

''No power in black Africa can subdue Biafra''.

- Col. Emeka Ojukwu, shortly before the start of the Biafran war, 1967.
I'm not an Igbo. But if they said they are tired of this false marriage call nigeria then let them be.
It's not by force to be a Nigerian.
Nigeria only favour the leech and I don't know if you one of the leech leeching on the rest of us.

IGBOS HAVE NEVER SHOWN SUPPORT FOR KANU. OTHERWISE, THE SE STATES GOVERNORS AND LEGISLATURES WOULD HAVE PASSED RESOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT KANU IN THE NASS.
