I know Isoko are of Edo ethnicity.
But this story of oghene and ife which you guys are trying to promote is already proven to be false. But of course your only argument is your claim of ethnic affiliation.
Anybody can claim any ethnicity online.

'Oghene' is an urhobo/isoko word for 'god'
it is used when translating the word 'god' regardless of the god the phrase is referring to.

I have proven your statement to be false, but you guys are extremely deluded and would keep arguing something already proven to be false.

Oghene comes from Orgvne in this map:

Not all isokos are of edo ethnicity.
Every isoko village has a rich history of how it was formed.
An IGBIDE MAN in isoko south for example ,WILL TELL U HIS VILLAGE IGBIDE IS OF INGBIDI ETHNICITY,an Igbo language place.
AN ENHWE MAN IN ISOKO SOUTH including the royal Enhwe family FOR EXAMPLE WILL TELL YOU HE IS OF EDO ETHNICITY.&
So You can’t just lump all isoko groups as of a particular ethnicity unless you ask of the isoko town lst;to learn of its history
I would rather get a copy of the late Oba of Benin eredieuwa’s “Sir l remain your humble servant” to learn about the priest called ooni today & if he was once referred to as an Oghene & believe the late Oba of Benin account over your slave masters distorted version . 1) history doesn't work the way you think.
2) history is the study of eyewitness written documents.
3) you study Julius Cesare through texts written by those who witnessed Julius Caesar
4) there is no precolonial text linking Benin empire to Ife village.
5) You need to go to school where someone like me would teach you.

I never said you shouldn't get the book of the great Oba of Benin. I was only informing you about how history works and what it is.
Oba Erediawa was a great emperor, very well educated and extremely intelligent. I would have been extremely proud to have him as my teacher.

As for you, you wouldn't qualify to be my student, you are not smart enough and not rich enough. I even doubt that your best teacher would qualify to be my student.

1) the Europeans did leave the coast and explore the region, they even have many books about their explorations and that is how they made their maps in general.

2) the map which I posted here is from the 16th century, but a fake historian like you can't tell the difference between 16th century and 18th century.

3) I clearly stated that the map is fictional and I gave the reasons

4) Benin doesn't actually appear on the map.

This is repulsive and a slap to made up cultural laws

The 1979 edict says only prince born by either a benin or itsekiri woman could be made king but none of this prince's made the requirement as all their mothers are Yorubas, the iyasere should have occupied till the prince's heir makes the requirement

Now the stool has been defied and no respect for the royal law

You are very right, this is nothing short of a coup.
Not following the law is criminal and I am sure the courts will strike this unlawful act out. Also, 5 high chiefs are supposed to be involved in the process of selecting the new Olu, but only 2 of them were involved in this one. The highest of the chiefs, the Ologbotsere was illegally suspended by lower ranking chiefs who did not have the authority to do so... All this just points to a coup, these guys are on a mission to usurp the throne of the Olu.

i say itsekiri nation, where chief ologbosere was from. Itsekiri nation was part of benin kingdom. Is itsekiri not part of warri?
itsekiri is not part of Benin kingdom, more than 500 yrs ago, some people migrated from ile ife to this region know as warri, then a prince from benin which his chiefs came from Benin to the same region, the people from ile ife pledge allegiance to the prince n they formed the iwerre kingdom, while the name of the tribe was itsekiri.

So the kingdom was name is iwerre and the name tribe itsekiri. The iwerre nation has grown and mixed with other kingdom now. And it's what we know as warri today.

So the itsekiri nation was never part of the Benin kingdom

1) when posting a paper, you need to actually give the paper in full, and it's source and the website hosting it for further investigation. Just posting a snapshot of a piece of an "article" is utterly meaningless. Even the date of publication and the author are not provided whereas you should have provided the entire document and a link to the website hosting it.

2) you still don't understand that history is the study of historical documents and by that I mean documents written by eyewitness, not documents recently written by people who claim to know what happened thousands of years before they were born. That is called myth.

3) the Europeans visited the interior of Africa, that is how they made very precise maps. There is not even any question about that. Well I would admit it depends on what you call interior of Africa, by interior I am referring to at least the entirety (more or less) of the land mass which we call Nigeria today. These places were visited by the Europeans as early as the 15th century.

4) you seem to be very emotionnally triggered given that 90% of your write-up is just insults.
Is it because I schooled you and exposed you as a fraud several times ? You basically have a concept of history in which historical documents should be thrown away and stories told by people who were born several hundred years after the story they claim to tell should be uplifted.

5) Below is a detailed map from 1658:
