Members of the public are invited to the public presentation of the book, ‘Governor Willie Obiano: 7 Years Of Delivering Good Governance In Anambra State, 2014 – 2021’

The 244- page book, co-edited by Chief Uche Nworah, Ph.D, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), and Emeka Arinze, Ph.D, is a book of commentaries chronicling the achievements of His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano as Governor of Anambra state, to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the Willie Obiano administration in Anambra State.

Chief Austin Oguejiofor, Chairman of First Rotech Group will serve as Chairman of the occasion, while Prince Dr. Donatus Okonkwo, Chairman of Tetrazzini Plc will serve as Chief Unveiler, to be supported by other notable Ndi Anambra.

The book will be reviewed by Prof. Frank-Collins Nnamdi Okafor,

Expected at the book presentation are captains of industry, traditional rulers, members of the civil society, the press, the academia, members of the legislature (state and federal), the judiciary, members of Anambra state executive council, members of various political parties and other stakeholders.

His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra state will be the Special Guest of Honour at the book presentation, which will hold as follows:

Innoson Commissions Factory Road in Adazi-Ani, Anambra State

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Group, Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma, OFR, popularly known as Innoson today, Thursday, April 8th 2021 commissioned Factory road in Adazi Ani, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The road is among the chain of roads totalling about 10km constructed by Chief Chinedu Madubuko, Chairman and CEO of De Chico Investment Limited, a philanthropist and native of Adazi Ani.

Dignitaries in the event include the traditional ruler of Adazi Ani and his council of chiefs, the PG of Adazi Ani and his executives, and captains of Industries.

Innoson while commisioning the road thanked Chief Madubuko for this act of selflessness which has been of immense benefit to his community and prayed that God would continually bless him and add more productive years to his life.

“If other wealthy Igbos do the same for their communities,” Chief Chukwuma said, “the Igbo nation will become a highly developed place.”

Governor Willie Obiano Grants Reprieve To Several Prisoners In Anambra State

The Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano has granted reprieve to one hundred persons serving various terms in correctional facilities in the state between January 2020 to April 2021.

Speaking with the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Anambra State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Dr. Mrs Uju Nwogu, said that the reprieve was granted to those of them who met the stipulated criteria under the law, such as those who have served more than half of their sentences and are of good behaviour., inmates convicted of simple offences and are of good behaviour, aged inmates who are over 65 years old, inmates who are very sick, suffering from infectious and terminal diseases, inmates who have almost served out their terms and those whose sentences also have options of fine.

She charged those that have benefited from this round of reprieve to be of good behaviour when they rejoin the society.

What about this? Is there anywhere else in the entire eastern region you will find 10 lanes superhighway except in Onitsha and Awka. Don't be surprised that if this type of superhighway 10 lanes are in another state in the region, they would find a way to use it as a basis to push their propaganda, but now they are dumbfounded

This is what I mean by 10 lanes. Show us completed or existing road, not something under construction, that may never be completed. For now you can't find it anywhere else in the east except Onitsha and Awka. Show us something like this

Enugu , Ebonyi and Imo carry out the same discrimination against Ndi Anambra even in their everyday life. I am a living witnesses to wickedness meted out on me by Ndi Imo. Any ffucking Anambra man that thinks Ndi Imo , Enugu or Ebonyi loves him is very sstupid. They hate Anambra out of envy , period. I have never had a paid job, public or private, in Alaigbo, so I have not experienced this issue.

Another thing is, Nigeria has permeated every fiber of our existence. I doubt that if the entire SE had remained as a single geopolitical entity as opposed to different states, such odd things would happen.
One Nigeria has made us realize we are living in denial, and the same Nigeria carved up the former Eastern Region into states that now see themselves as opposing forces.

Amen! I think anybody close to Obiano should advise him on the need to form another group like sars to counter these gunmen. This new group is to be more honourable than sars whereby there will be nothing like back door killings and execution except during shootouts but more vicious in combating crime. I am saying this because a lot of police men and women i know are already saying with the way things are going , they will have to work their transfer to other states just to avoid the upcoming election. except a strong team is formed to counter the killings and kidnappings but the Gov is silent on this. The Anambra South Senator and National Leader of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, on Sunday, maintained that no sustainable development will be achieved in Anambra State if the state government fails to construct standard roads across various communities in the state.

The Senator expressed his position during the commissioning of a 10.761km road network single handedly built across Adazi communities in Anaocha Local Government Area of the State by the Chief Executive Officer of Chico Group, Chief Chinedu Benson Madubuko (Chinechendo Ezeani na Adazi-Ani).

According to the Senator, businesses will thrive if roads linking various communities of the state receive prompt and regular attention from the state government.

Speaking further on the importance of quality roads in economic development, the Anambra South Senator said that more local and international investors will be attracted to the state if all communities are linked with standard roads that can last for decades. He also reiterated that security situation will be improved if the state is equipped with good roads as such will make it easier for security operatives to patrol and carry out surveillance operations around various communities as well as attend to distress calls on time The Anambra South Senator also maintained that reports of road accidents that are on daily increase in the state will reduce drastically if the road infrastructure in the state receive prompt and regular attention from the government.

Commending Chief Madubuko for his patriotic and philanthropic gesture, Senator Ubah called on other prominent citizens across the state to emulate this good virtue as such will not only improve the people's well-being but will also keep the hopes of various communities alive. He also urged the donor to keep up the good works in community service

Senator Ubah who as a private citizen, single handedly built interlocked roads equipped with underground drainage system and street lights in his Umuanuka community of Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State also used the opportunity to reiterate his commitment towards the use of the instruments of his office to attract quality projects to his constituency for the benefit of the people and Ndị Anambra at large.

In his brief remarks, Chief Madubuko emphasized on the importance of giving back to society and maintained that he found it necessary to construct the roads after considering the roles it will play in opening up the Adazi community and the state at large to local and international investors. He thanked God for his provisions and reiterated his commitment towards providing more for the people in other to promote their well-being.

The roads that constituted the 10.761km totally constructed by Chief Madubuko include; Adazi-ani - Alor Read through Chico's house, Ikenga village hall road Adazi-ani, Ikenga village road through Chico's brothers house to Alor, Umuru village from Mkpuota-Igwe House Adazi with a spur to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Ezeumuanumanu through St. James Anglican church road, Igwe factory road Adazi ani, road opposite St. Jude Anglican church Amaebe village to Alor, Adazi power station-new age road, Obofia village read Adazi ani, Amaebe-St. James Anglican church road Adazi ani, Save the lost-through Rev Moses Chibuzor road Adazi ani, road beside Ikenga village hall to Alor/Nnokwa road, Jesus saves Avenue Ikenga Adazi ani, Chief Nelsen Enendu road to Jehovah Witness Adazi ani, and Djiaja-Justus Ejikeme-Eziama Ngo bus stop road Adazi Ani.
