Exactly....after the influencers were paid, they tell their followers ( sheep) to tweet and share their messages aggressively for free.
Funny enough, the people are not aware that they are being manipulated.

What a fact, that many media houses are used to hypnotize gullible citizens to behave the herds way. It seems Fulaniherds men are on sabbatical in our media stations, its the unknown gunmen also known as ESN/IPOB that are enjoying the fame with a swagg of invincibility.

Nothing surprises me...
Brown envelope ‘journalism’ has always been rife in Nigeria.

Nonetheless, this campaign does NOT bother me as much...
The US (and Twitter) wouldn’t bother if this was a campaign they want.

That HYPOCRISY is glaring, because this is NOT about ethics...
If it’s (for example) an Anti-Chinese govt campaign, it would’ve been ok with the US (and Twitter).

Some know but the love for the money is strong.

I saw on a leak exposed by cambridge analytics where rosneft, a top Russian oil company sponsored social media campaign to cause violence in Nigeria through twitter.

One of their method is trying to escalate an already created tension in Nigeria by getting lot of low level and medium level nigerian influencers to tweet aggressively and do giveaway, if the campaign attack is successful, it leads to violence, cnn and major networks picks the news, the news creates panic in the global oil market, which leads to increase the price of oil.

This Nairaland is literally a waste of time. If on Twitter I know that money would come my way. The admin here had no idea of this until the news came out. This place is truly irrelevant — full of broke, hungry scammers and unemployed lazy youths.

It is simple.

Every social cause promoted on social media is paid for. No protest or social media campaign is organic, as long as you have money to pay influencers, you can personally destroy or support a target.

This leds me to the #endsar campaign, all the influencers were paid to destroy Nigeria by some ngos and foreigners, these same influencers were happy destroying the country they live in.

Nigerians can sell their soul for little cash.
Kindly explain how d influencers related to d endsars campaign were paid to destroy Nigeria?

There are flashpoints of insecurity across d nation. Bandits, Bokoharam, unknown gunmen attacks, soldiers killing unarmed civilians in benue. Are theses d activities of
paid endsars promoters and influencers?

Had buhari not set nigeria on a course of destruction before d endsars campaign?

We know nah. They were paid to make same during the altruistic endSars protest to create fake creatives of dead bodies loaded in hilux vans to give a distraction so IPOB terrorists could burn down Lagos on the instructions of their leader in a viral audio. This time around, they have met their match in a US government that will track them down like Invictus Obi. This is exactly what the FG should have done after the fallout of the coordinated arson they were paid to incite by making fake news, pictures and video go viral.
Most of them are unpatriotic lot!

What about this?

His lawyers say his detention violates international law because Venezuela named him a “special envoy,” which provided him diplomatic immunity, and because the Interpol red notice calling for his arrest was issued after he was detained in Cape Verde

You were paid paid in support of a crime that has made you a criminal weda you were aware or not.

They should be blocked from twitter permanently before they contaminate others who are genuine with huge followers with their leprosy.

They were paid to add some pressure to the course of justice
They were paid to influence public opinion...
The “court” of public opinion is different from the court of justice.

Eg, social media influencers are carrying on about events in Hong Kong...
Do you think it a crime to “pressure the course of [Chinese] justice” in Hong Kong?

The ONLY reason this is made to sound bad is because it’s anti-US interest...
If this was (eg) anti-China or anti-Russia or anti-Iran interests, there would be NO stir.

That’s partisan HYPOCRISY...
It has NOTHING to do with justice (or its purported subversion).

Sir, you really don't need to insult if you have your fact, good education and upbringing.
If hundreds of people were killed, that means several hundreds of families, neighbours, imams, pastors, friends, spouses, brothers, sisters, colleagues and others have lost a dear loved one so at least a million people can be affected by extension so you can't bribe them to keep quiet.
It has been over 5 months of sitting by a panel demanding that whoever has lost anyone or know someone who has lost someone should come forward so they can get justice.
Since you seem to have opinion on everything including those outside your scope of learning and upbringing, why don't you tell us if all the families, colleagues, neighbours, pastors, imams, spouses, parents, etc of the imaginary hundreds of people you claimed were killed also killed by the soldiers?

The problem is that you don't know and you are un-teachable. Your upbringing has victimized you so much that to express your different view, you must be uncouth.
You don't need to haul insults at people who hold a superior or different view from yours.

HUH?! Yet again, exactly how is it crime?
If someone supports Derek Chauvin (or even OJ Simpson), did they commit a crime? shocked

Meanwhile, there’s something called the PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE...
So not sure how you can leap to the conclusion of crime without a trial and conviction.

Do you think lawyers commit crimes by taking money to defend criminals?
Do you think that PR firms, lobbyists, publicists, etc., commit crimes when employed by accused people?

Do you think that those campaigning in favor of Chinese Uighurs are committing crimes?
Because the Chinese government has accused and labeled such Uighurs as criminals and terrorists.

Abegi, I know “repeat-after-me” (cram-and-regurgitate) is a staple of Nigerian education...
But we should be able to discern obvious HYPOCRISY based on nothing more the biased interests.

Presuming that they know little about the mater (and none of us know that for certain)...

That may be “wrong” (perhaps unethical) but NEVER a crime, and should NEVER be made to look like it is.
Many people who campaign (eg) for the Uighurs in China know very little about the facts (and frankly I don’t either).
