Take what they say by a grain of salt, I use solar and I know how expensive this system is although it's worth it sha but the federal govt should focus on fixing the most important sectors first like security, universities, roads and eventually part of the job sector (cos some of us are self employed), not white elephant projects all the time and even at that they haven't told us what this solar can power and what it cannot, they are better off making solar systems cheaper and affordable or give discounts for buying one so as to encourage the movement like they're doing in the states in the form of rebates.

My brother be like say you know wetin dey everybody mind while reading that post
Can u share with us why it's expensive.
What are the components involved in the set up.

Its not possible to target 25million Nigeria home through Solar power.
Esp. From Federal Government
As far as I'm concerned, this program is overrated. They will put one or two solar panels on people's roof in villages, enough to just power light bulbs, radio and maybe a small standing fan and they will claim they have provided that household electricity!

If the house cannot power anything really useful like TV sets or a fridge or tools, not sure what value it brings.

It makes more sense to subsidize solar onetime than to subsidize petrol continuously.

This is in line with the globally endorsed Climate Change agenda and the Buhari administration’s effort to connect more communities to off-grid power and reliable energy sources,

Let's see the package. Will it be able to power 21inch LED tv, 6 points of 5watts solar bulbs, FTA Decoder, charge phones on demand?
But before then, take advantage of this promo package that will end on May 8, 2021.

It will power 32inch LED tv, 6 5watts led bulbs, Decoder, unlimited phones and laptop charging, 2 standing fans.

2 pcs of 150AH America neptune solar gel battery PLUS 1.5kva 24v Amaron Tribal inverter, including delivery to any location in Lagos and Port Harcourt City. Price excludes battery rack and any modifications to install the system.

You will get over 9hours uniterupted power. See my signature

I am looking for batteries that are flat and slim like Tesla power wall rather than these car battery type of battery.
