1) Electricity access - is broad term - some countries like India - anybody living 50 meters from electricity infrastructure is deemed to have access.
2) Before we proceed with random figures from your anu.s- first tell us how many HOUSES or household are there in Ghana. The answer is 7M.
3) How many customers does your electricity distros have in their database - metered customers.
4) Again moro.n TROPICAL HIGHLANDS - the highlands ensure low temperatures - the tropics ensure no major season changes(now winters or summers). 2/3 of kenyans live in tropical highlands. You DO NOT need an AC. You should see many in Nairobi if they were needed.

Just30:
grin grin

So now you are fighting facts?

1. True electricity access is around 90% to 92% and metered customers is 4 million houses.

2. Let me know when kenya even invested 13 billion dollars in it power sector in just 3 years. How did kenya spend twice?

3. Ghana total investment in the energy sector is more than 50 billion dollars over the last 10 years.

4. Once you live in the Tropical climate zone, you need AC more than anyone in the world.

5. You said those countries don't use AC.

And temperatures in Kenya range from 20 degrees to 30 degrees
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 12:36pm On Apr 10, 2021
No. Your low agricultural productivity make sure of that; otherwise you have more than enough arable land; to feed the world. Heck before oil messed Nigeria - you were world biggest export of palm oil. The same palm oil earns likes of Malaysia more than your oil.

Heck river Niger alone can irrigate and feed Africa.

1. You are mad

Electricity access is not a broad term.
It simply means electricity coverage across human settlements.

2. I don't have a number for houses in Ghana because every day, new houses are built.
You can use satellite data to count the number if you want. Household does not mean houses, mad man.

3.my electricity distributors have 4.5 million customers with over 6 million meters supplied

4. You are just a fool even if the tallest mountain was located in the tropics, temperatures at it peak will still range from 20 to 39 degrees just for the fact that it is located in the tropics. And this is why even though the geography of Kenya is a tropical highlands the climate of Kenya is the tropical climatic zone.

FOOL

tropical highlands is not a climatic zone but a geographical zone.
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 1:08pm On Apr 10, 2021
1) Electricity access to households is the best definition to electricity access.
2) I don't care about any random houses - I care about house housing households.
3) Show me evidence that your electricity distro have 4.5M customers with 6M metered customers.
4) Again slowpoke - you just need to visit Nairobi or Adis - or ask anybody who has - to tell you how temperatures are
5) For every 1000 meter above the sea level - you lose 6 degrees in temperature - therefore Nairobi is 11 degrees lower than Accra - Adis Ababa is 13 or so.

Let me educate you today.

There are 5 main climate types on earth

Tropical, Dry, Temperate, Continental and Polar.

Out of those 5 types of climate, there are 12 climatic zones.

Learn what they are

Educate me? That is so rich of you. They are many climates and micro-climates. Ghana and west Africa are well known - hot - that due to them being in tropics and being low lying. Abuja is like 300m above sea level. Nairobi is like 2000.

The higher you go the lower the temperatures. This is primary level education.

Take small visit - kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia - and parts of Uganda/Tanzania - have tropical highland climate.

Verbiage. The usual nonsense bereft of any factoids from the resident nutjob.

Let try some facts
ECG - ? number of customers
NEDCo - ? number of customers
Enclave Power Company Limited - ? Number of customers.

We will assume that Ghana has pop of 32M with on average 4.5 HH per house - so total household 7.1M - therefore for Ghana to claim to be at 90% - they need to have 6.3M household connected to power.

Anyway we will include customers that are not household or residential - commercial - to help you case.

Now give us latest customer figures of ECG, NEDco and Enclave.

Average temperature in tropics at sea level is 30.
The higher you go - the lower the temperature - every 1000m -you reduce 6 degrees.
Mt kilimanjaro at 5000 - therefore is below zero!

Okay any links to the data?
Mo.oron understand this - when Ghana do census - they count go to every house - and count the occupant - that become an household.
In Survey or Census - it the first question.
They go to every house with people - ask who Household Head is - and then members of that household present.
Then they do national total.
Some household have 20 members - some have single person.
On average in Ghana it come down to 4.5 person per house.
That become average Household Size of Ghana.
And we know the number of houses with humans in Ghana to be 7M.

Now 4.5+0.8+0.3 is a little over 5.7M out 7M

So if we take your data at it highest (despite the obvious lack of credibility) - Ghana electricity access is 5.7/7 that about 80% electricity access.

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 2:00pm On Apr 10, 2021
The first thing in census is household mapping;
Every house with people is marked.
Long before the day of census.
During census - the occupant of a house - are counted - and that become a HOUSEHOLD
Household - is a house and it's occupants - doesn't have to be a family - although most of them are families
So Household is equivalent to family.
Having average of 5 - doesn't mean some household do not have 10 kids.

Electricity consumption is indicator - just like many others - but every country has it unique circumstance - for example South Africa electricity is so large by even world standards - because of their minning.

Kenya GDP per capita and Ghana GDP per capita are now nearly equal at around 2000.
