You dont know what ports have to do with economic growth?

for instance, import and export can be used to measure the level of activity in an economy.

That is why even though China suferred some economic slow down in the first 3 months of the year which led to a slow down in their import and export. But when the whole world caught the virus, economic activity in China picked up with led to an increase in export and import.
