A friend who resides abroad wanted his babe to open a domiciliary account so that he can send her cash frequently. We had a chat about it over the phone and I told him I would assist her with references if she had none. Few days later I invited her to the office.

I beckoned one of the sales associate to collate her docs and make copies. While they were both conversing (I was busy preparing docs for a client facility ) I wasn't paying attention. The sales guy had to call my attention. He said she has an account and should only fill an update form that he can download and retrieve the previous docs.

I said that is fine. Only for the lady to ask the guy "please which date of birth should I use"? " I mean which date of birth did I use in the other account "? I wanted to laugh but I was too distracted. The associate told her to write her correct date of birth.

She said she had used many in the past. I just told her to leave it blank and have a nice day....Please feel free to contribute if you have witnessed such.

Almost everyone lies about their age is a formal setting.

They are afraid of getting old .them go reduce age until it won't be able to be reduced again..

Why are ladies always uncomfortable about their age? There was one time I was opportune to be among the panel that was recruiting for our retail business, only for a lady to lie about her age on her CV. Unfortunately her BVN, account and ID had different dates. Lying about your age is an integrity issue

Because they don't want to retire from the game.. If u know u know... Na like super eagles where Oga Taye was celebrating 25years then and his twin sister was celebrating 35years such is life Sha.. I won't kuku kill myself on top Wetin no concern me..is it my age.. Make I drink and chop meat jare

Aging is a beautiful thing. I don't see it as a defect. It tells a lot about our story and existence

Exactly!. Most Nigerians have integrity issues. I just hope the lady isn't lying about her age to her overseas boyfriend also because women can't really be trusted that much grin

Lol... Most Nigerians grew up to see integrity as a bad thing. The system is bleeped already!. Only few that got to realize early tend to be different.

That is true, I believe underachievement is also a factor. Perhaps, one had thought that he/she should be married at a certain age but when they had passed that age with nothing to show for, they retire to self deceit. Age falsification is the first step

Exactly!. Such a bad thing to do but anyways, even the leaders have resorted to it. What I believe in is that once you have integrity, your conscience will be free and you'll be a happy man always without looking over your shoulders.
