The products needed to make electric cars by themselves can cause environmental pollution. The parts from electric cars themselves can cause environmental pollution and are not environmentally friendly.

Nobody will still hawk crude in traffic because
Petrol/pms or diesel are not the only products from fractional distillation of crude oil.
LPG,methane gases,& cooking gas even tar for road construction projects are still there.
Crude Fractional distillation,crude destructive distillation;& other crude refining processes also gives other components very useful in plastic & other industries.
& should there cease to be demand for components like pms/petrol and diesel,or some polymers offshoot or some other offshoots from crude industrial processing, GOOD NEWS is that lots of controlled processes and seperators (seperating columns/dividers)abound in the chemical & petroleum industry to refine and transform heavy components including petrol & diesel to lighter gases and other desirable environmental friendly components under special temperature & pressure & special catalysts conditions.
A chemical or petroleum engineer/technologist can totally break it down further & totally transform chemical structure,number of carbon atoms & bonds of your almighty petrol or diesel to exclusively obtain methane,ethane & hydrogen only

Hope the wil build electric trucks because thats where the real carbon comes from.

These electric vehicles have sufficient power.

And Nigerians are terrible drivers anyway, it's a bonus if they are put in less powerful cars, maybe then they'll stop killing themselves (and others) wantonly.

With time my friend we will get there.. Already some teslas can dust lamborghini 0-100. The lamborghini will catchup after a while but in a real world scenario with other cars on the highway its unlikely.
Electric cars are changing everything about cars and driving as a whole and combustion engines stand no chance.
