The Germans have to choose who they want intheir country , but they should stop giving us mialeading information, after claiming appointment was booked out,, cat A, is still receiving appointment uphill today .

That you have money in your blocked account will not automatically get you a visa. This is the bitter truth.

Well-arranged required documents as well as how you perform during your interview is how people get Visum(The ultimate goal)

One thing is to get an interview date another is to get a visa.

1. Do you have a letter of presence from your University?

2. If you are honest with yourself, do you need to be physically present in Germany to finish this degree?
cos if your course can be carried out conveniently online then you need to rethink the whole journey abi if you do not have a letter of presence what next?

3. Did I put in the right information while applying (Videx etc.)

4. If I get an interview date next week will I be ready. Because why would the embassy say some people don't show up!!!

I am sure they will have statistics of no show on AD.

You only win a case in court when you have enough evidence to back it up.

Speak for yourself, what have you done?

- Send a mail to your university about the situation.
- See if you can get a scholarship from your school
- find out about coop programs, peradventure your uni is in partnership with another uni in another country in Europe.
- check all your documents, when you are called for an interview do not give them the impression you aren't ready hence the generalization.
- Apply to another university outside Germany, (If you be OBO) fly in LEGALLY then after a while or so apply for a German student visa
- For the newbie on here, don't be like some of us oo, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Germany should not be the only place you should be applying to.
- Always confirm information here with the embassy website because recently, they are some updates that void previous info.

No I am not first class I graduated with a 2.2. In 2013.

My Interview

I got to the gate with all my document it was on Friday.
Unfortunately for me I printed some document 1 copy instead of 2 copies and those photocopy people charged me 700 per page �

Oga Paulinus was so polite and patient. Even when I was not ready he waited for me .

We where nine(9) people that day I was the only girl we where all Cat B and yesssss people are getting dates Cat B for that matter some are in Niara land but they do not say anything or give transcript.
Cos one boy said people would insult u or doubt u even if u said u got a date.

If the scholarship covers living expenses or stipends equivalent to 861 EUR monthly, you may not have to bother. But if its a Nigerian government scholarship, you should have a Blocked Account for your own safety or have a financial plan B.
But you can ask the consular office via email or randomly email other country's consular office because Nigeria office may not be responsive but the rule is same for all non-EU nationals.
