Be screaming monopoly when you have no idea about the meaning.

Has anyone been stopped from competing with this industry leaders?

You are just jealous of the achievements of Northerners!

They dont make noise, they make it happen/

Unlike those that when they just open a shop in Lagos, they start claiming millionaire's to the whole wide world
Define Monopoly and explain the various types of monopoly?

Why are you suddenly bringing tribal sentiments into an intelligent discuss?

Who is jealous of the north or south? You should focus on becoming successful yourself and making money rather than being a tribal bigot and e-warrior typing from your hut.

Family Affair, both their extended families go way back. And both families have been in business for decades. It did not start today.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata is actually Dangote's granduncle and he was acclaimed to be the richest man in Nigeria in the 1970s. He is like the elder statesman of Kano. That's probably why he was included in this meeting.
We know.

Why did Ganduje not use the same opportunity to ask them why cement is above N4000.

Rubbish...were they fighting before...the issue at stake is strictly a professional business related matter based on perceived violation of a policy...the dollar stocking babariga man is only showboating nothing else.

The North makes sure their domination is maintained, while eastern governors fight their own people and keep them subdued under the North.

*£1 = N635*
*$1 = N480*

*PONDER ON THIS*

*IN 1980 NIGERIA EXCHANGED 80kobo to 1$*

*TODAY NIGERIA EXCHANGES ₦480 to 1$*

*BUT HERE ARE THE MAJOR REASONS AS CAPTURED BY AN ANONYMOUS WRITER.*

*We shouldn't be surprised.*

*We were far more productive in 1980 than we are today*

*In 1980 the key reasons for economic growth were as follows:*

*1) We were a net exporter of refined petroleum products. Today we import all our refined petroleum products.*

*2) We rode in locally assembled cars, buses and trucks. Peugeot cars in Kaduna and Volkswagen cars in Lagos.*

*Leyland in Ibadan and ANAMCO in Enugu produced our buses and trucks.*

*Steyr at Bauchi producing our Agricultural tractors.*

*And it was not just Assembly, we were producing many of the components.*

*Vono products in Lagos producing the seats.*

*Exide in Ibadan producing the batteries, not just for Nigeria but for the entire West Africa.*

*Isoglass and TSG in Ibadan producing the windshields.*

*Ferodo in Ibadan producing the brake pads and discs*

*Tyres produced by Dunlop in Lagos and Mitchelin in Portharcourt.*

*And I mean tyres produced from rubber plantations located in Ogun and Rivers State.*

*3) We were listening to Radio and watching television sets assembled in Ibadan by Sanyo.*

*4) We were using refrigerators, freezers and Airconditioners produced by Thermocool and Debo.*

*5) We were putting on clothes produced from the UNTL textile mills in Kaduna and Chellarams in Lagos.*

*Not from imported cotton but from cotton grown in Nigeria.*

*6) Our water was running through pipes produced by Kwalipipe in Kano and Duraplast in Lagos .*

*7) Our toilets were fitted with WC produced at Kano and Abeokuta.*

* We were cooking with LPG gas stored inside gas cylinders produced at the NGC factory in Ibadan.*

*9) Our electricity was flowing through cables produced by the Nigerian wire and Cable, Ibadan and Kablemetal in Lagos and Portharcourt.*

*10) We had Bata and Lennards producing the shoes we were putting on*
*Not from imported leather but from locally tanned leather at Kaduna.*

*11) We were mainly flying our airways, the Nigeria Airways, to most places in the world.*
*The Airways was about the biggest in Africa at that time.*

*12) Most of the food we ate were being grown or produced in Nigeria*.

*We were producing all of the above and more in 1980*

*Today, we import almost everything.*

*There lies the source of the terrible exchange rate we are experiencing today and everybody reading this has a critical role to play in reversing this very UGLY trend.*

*It is not enough for us to complain about the exchange rate or point out what others are not doing or are failing to do, the key question is what are we producing or what are we planning to produce?*

*Going forward, it's time to ponder and think of the way forward progressivesly before it's TOO LATE.*

*Credit goes to the Unknown writer for this beautiful reminder.*

We have been talking about these problems and more for ages...

*What solutions do you have in mind?*

The Northern unity is top-notch
Other parts of the country aren't learning this from the North. The way their leaders brought them together (whether it's for the camera or not). We all know what's happening in Rivers state between two brothers cum war-lords. We all know the story of two blood-brothers, formerly Psq.

We are here calling them 'almajiris, cows' etc but they know what they are doing it's the reason they are up there almost in all ministries and departments in the country.

Nigerians are in trouble
Spaghetti, Sugar, Cement, Mega Refineries, Petrol, Beef, Tomatoes etc all under their control. That's the positive side of the Fulanis and it shows the rubbish in that sending them to futa jalon narrative.

I don't see how Nigerians are in trouble afterall anyone is free to enter and compete.

Kai! I was looking forward to the price war. This is part of the problem we have in Nigeria. Things are never left to organically transform or mature. Elders will always step in with deceptive proverbs and put pressure. Economic interests and realities will be relegated to the background in favour of ethnic or tribal considerations - "it will not look good on our tribe" etc etc.

The same thing in marriage too. Elders and relatives will use bible quotes and proverbs to put pressure to maintain what is obviously a bad situation.

We are over obsessed with how people view us and will sacrifice anything to maintain image.

Look at Rabiu's body posture, you'll find his reply there. He doesn't like Dangote's style of ruining the country down. Simple and straightforward

It's different. If the parents of p square, their death or the death of lola's father alone can't bring back psquare, then they can both fvck off

Because God has blessed him does not mean he should start fighting his competitors.

No surprise here. Better for them to work together to continue to exploit.

Here is how I think the conversation went down.
