It would be extremely difficult for Nigeria to develop her potential. This is largely due to lack of punishment to criminals. Unfortunately, the country is currently being run on ethnic and religion loyalty instead of merit. This in particular has killed the spirit of patriotism in people especially among the southerners, and every one to his own. |

Apparently only the SARS uniform was disbanded, not the unit itself. Because their officers are still terrorising people up and down |

wagazala:Irrespective of whatever they found on him, EXTORTION OF A CRIMINAL, IS STILL A CRIME. They should have arrested him for prosecution, instead. The Victim should file an official Complaint to the Human Rights Commission or the EFCC or Police Complaints Commission, his money will be refunded .......... and that police Man just lost his Uniform. Dont let FEAR hold you down. |

Report to the bank, and the bank may contact the receiving bank and flag the money as an unlawful deposit! But that's the thing with Nigeria is a long grueling process with lots of paper work, bureaucracy and bottle necks here and there, the money u would spend recovering this fund may outmaneuver the money u lost t the armed robbers! 2. Report the case to the police and make a statement if u were able to get the name of the officer from his uniform or the name of the receiver of the fund, put his/her description In details, his last seen, visit any police station around that vicinity that's where they probably work! Nigeria is somehow, it has spoilt finish! But I can't cry again anymore over spilled milk, my own is to collect my share and jaapa! |

We need unknown gunmen everywhere in the country, not only in the south east. There is a mental shift in the balance of power towards the people when the governments are made to realize that people have a fighting chance against them like the unknown gunmen. The aftermath effects of what the unknown gunmen are doing in the east is that there will be less extortionist practices by the police in the region in the coming years, police will shift all their extortionist practices to the west, unless the south west can fight too. Forget it, people have seen this police job as a means to molest and victimize people for financial inducement, unless people can orient them that they are police officers not the tax collectors. |

wagazala:Only a law court can issue a fine on offenders or Road Safety for traffic violations. The police have no reason whatsoever to demand or accept a fine. The "payer" is as guilty as the "receiver" but in this case, the receiver is mostly at fault because he is a Law Enforcement agent, the onus is on him to know better. |
