North has the best federal roads in Nigeria

That is d only road in Yenegoa that they are celebrating..Backward entities..

This one dey learn work. Go to Akwa ibom,Kaduna and kano u will see good federal and state roads...

Those roads are Street roads.... What till you see the highway Bayelsa dey build directly from yenogoa to New York , London, Dubai etc... Infact the bridge for these roads be like aeroplane.

But to get on this highway you get to enter canoe first and paddle to the highway.

Far from it. Have you travelled on their east-west road before. Its been under construction for over 10 years...still counting. A portion of it has cut off completely

Just coming into Jos from the extreme end of Azare in Bauchi, myself and my friend were discussing the fantastic state of roads in Bauchi state. Azare as a town has every major street tarred and you can still see construction works going on all over the town.

Which Bayelsa?

I thought Yenagoa the state capital had only one good road

This is a state road and not federal. This road will take you from Yenagoa city gate to Igbogene. The one from Mbiama to Yenagoa is a federal road.

The road from Mbiama to Yenagoa is a federal road...I think that's the road in the video. That road also goes to Port Harcourt, so the lady is right.

If you ever ply SUKUK road project from Kano to Maiduguri then you will know what a good road looks like....Kano to Jigawa to Azare to Potiskum to Damaturu then to Maiduguri are true definition of good roads...

In all honesty the North has better roads only because of the Torrential downpours of rain in the South

The Same blessings that makes the South Fertile and well watered is also responsible for the roads that don’t last if not well Constructed

In the South only one Torrential downpour of rain can Wash away not only roofs of houses but also any roads if it is not well constructed

but in the North that Same road Can Last 2 years without needing any repairs


So the south needs much more costly and stronger roads than the roads in the North that don’t face such powerful forces of Nature

Bayelsa has just two main roads in the whole state, and you are saying if the State has the Best. SMH

You are right because they have the smallest road network

From toll gate to yenagoa and back is just one route

No other escape route except water of which you can't drive through water

All my stay there up till now, I have never seen traffic

The KEKE NAPEP in that state are more than the numbers of vehicles in a whole

They are not in a hurry to go out like those in Lagos, so their road remains smooth aa they have less traffic of vehicles and humans

No. This is city gate to Igbogene constructed by Gitto construction company. Mbiama to Yenagoa road does not look like this. There are houses and vehicular movement along Mbiama -Yenagoa road.

Best road I've driven in my life! That road is the best. Generally north has very good road

apart from the things you mentioned, higher population in the south, higher number of cars, trucks, heavy vehicles e.t.c and most importantly substandard quality roads by governments in the south ( they build roads without proper drainage which makes rain water accumulate on and by the road leading to the gradual damage of the road) ..

for the south to afford better roads there needs to be at least two toll gates in each state in the south.

Yenagoa is the worse Capital in Nigeria. One entrance with barely wide enough for 2 cars, No single drainage on all the roads constructed.

So all roads in Nigeria are good. Why are we now complaining of bad roads in this country. Everyone is just coming out to claim their states have equally good roads lol

The state is relatively small, it should be among the most developed state in Nigeria

Bayelsa is bigger than Lagos, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ekiti, Enugu, Ebonyi, Osun, Akwa Ibom and Abuja.

No good road in bayelsa, most estates in Abuja has better road than yenagoa as a whole , besides the state is far behind in terms of development.
