check your "return s" call. It should be placed vertically on the same line with the "for" statement.

Thank you very much for this thread, I have been practicing a lot day and night since I encountered this thread. And concerning these two courses you mentioned, which one do you think is advisable to take first?

A) Krill emerenko Machine learning A to Z.

B)Python for data science bootcamp from Jose
Portela

And did you take the R part serious for Krill Eremenko's course?

already started my journey into data science, prior before now I had a mentor(my cousin) who is a data scientist in Australia who talked extensively on data science and gave various tools necessary. So I brushed through excel by taking some course like analysing data using excel and other courses on Edx(videos) then currently learning sql using sql server express learnt basics using w3schools and sqlzoo which am done, practicing using ssms and sample database like(adventureworks and northwind) so refreshing. Also I have some PDFs book having questions and problem from beginner to advance on the sample database listed, once am done I will also take some courses on edX. Afterwards would move into python and other tools.

just wanted to share my journey for the past one month. thanks Ejiod and other contributors.

if you are also on this journey into the world of data science quote me, let's relate

Boss I'd like to connect with you sir, majorly on books, videos or any material at all that would help my journey to becoming a data scientist. I look forward to your response. Thank you sir...

Good day Mentors and fellow Data Science/Analytics Enthusiasts

I humbly need your advice and guide on forging this new path. Let me just table my matter here for you. I have a B.Sc and M.Sc in Geoscience but been working as a project coordinator in telecoms service industry especially in the areas of equipment installations and site maintenance. Recently I moved to the UK but seeing the way way I.T is making waves here, I have decided to reignite my passion for data science so I need your advice and answers to some of my questions

1. Like how many months would it take a newcomer like me to learn to the stage of being employable as a data scientist/analyst role
2. I have intermediate knowledge on excel, just need to brush up to advanced levels with some online tutorials
3. I started the datascience journey late last year with Coursera and IBM and even had some projects submitted on github, done 5 out of 9 stages on IBM_coursera Data Science Specialization using Pythons(Jupyter, Pandas, etc) but I still feel there are lots missing as I dont feel I am doing the right things. I am good with theory and self-learning and I smash all the exams accross these 5 stages I have done so far and issued the certificates but deep within me, I am not confident I have the practical knowledge, although I dont practice quite often, I crash-read alot, a course that would take some folks 3weeks with enough time to practice, I might just rush it within few hours an pass the exams and certificates thus making me feel not confident to defend it. I feel maybe this is a flaw.
4. Now I want to learn properly and dedicate more time. So I need guidance on how to make the journey and the tools/materials/resources I need to learn one after the other in a sequential manner to really aid my understanding and also boost my confidence after learning and if there are sites or online schools I need to register
5. Most importantly, is this doable for a novice that is just coming into I.T and again, like how many months for me to be able to thrashing job interviews if I learned what is required

Thanks in anticipation for your responses

You didn't indent your return statement properly, it should be on the same vertical line with the for loop

If you're in UK, go to totaljobs.com . Then use the search word "data analyst" or "Machine Learning" Engineer. Then observe all the software listed as requirements, start learning them gradually. AND START APPLYING for jobs the moment you notice you have gotten to intermediate level, don't wait to master the whole thing. I am currently in Germany still learning and planning to come to UK eventually, the job market in UK is big for Data analytics and Machine learning.

Hi Solarpower, why do you want to leave Germany for UK? Is it that the job market in Germany is not large enough compared to UK or is it about the language? I'm currently self-learning Data engineering and plan coming to Germany for my Master's by October and I even plan to stay behind after that. Just want to know your thoughts what it looks like over there and why you don't want to stay after studies.

You won't have problems with jobs if you go in the line of Data Analytic, data science, data Engineer or machine learning, just search on indeed.de you will see for yourself. Especially if you can get a master's degree here; but master's studies here is HARD, with your first class you still have to calm down and rough it........I have been reading since morning, my coming online was just to cool off my brain.

My decision of moving to uk is more of a family thing and personal.
