The landing cost of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) imported into Nigeria has jumped to N216.31 per litre on the back of the recent increase in global oil prices and the depreciation of the naira against the dollar. https://punchng.com/petrol-landing-cost-hits-n216-daily-subsidy-now-n4-64bn/

Deregulate fully, but do it properly... Eliminate or drastically reduce extraneous charges. Review the financial policy & structures. As much as crude prices are rising, a key price determinant is the exchange rate. Keep the rate low & fuel prices will also be low... 5 Likes |

A country that virtually runs on petrodollar, yet it cannot boast of one functional refinery and now the entire country has to wait for Dangote to start refining crude oil locally. Buhari has been borrowing money to construct railways - something we can do without - leaving the most critical aspects of the economy, electricity and the downstream sector. The oldie has headed the petroleum ministry since the inception of his administration. The NNPC cannot boast of one fully functional refinery, the corporation keeps paying staffers for doing nothing, and every year it incurs huge debt. Please what has Buhari achieved as the petroleum minister? 62 Likes 6 Shares |

"Who is subsidising what? Subsidy is a scam.Subsidy is corruption." -Buhari.See them! When DPR cant give an accurate estimate of daily fuel consumption in Nigeria? How many times is the Buhari government gonna lie shamelessly to Nigeriams about this subsidy or subsidy under-recovery issue.Who have been approving these payments for subsidy-the NASS or executive fiat? NNPC just need to come under public scrutiny 11 Likes |

The longer we keep fooling ourselves the more economy will become worse, it's so obvious this unitry system of Government is not working. why is it difficult to return to Fiscal federalism where by each region will control their resources. Why are we fooling ourselves for goodness sake?? It's obvious PMS is the major determinant of our economy, any little increase will cause inflation yet we still keep on rolling around the same circle. If a litre of PMS hit #300 per liter (coz FG can't pay billions of Naira as subsidy every month in long run) just be expecting inflation to reach around 30% increase b4 the end of the second quarter of this year coz it's currently around 22% and we see how things cost in the market, that's when the real suffering will set in. Sincerely speaking, am highly disappointed in Buhari. Most of the companies around Agbaara industrial hub most expecially in Igbesa in ogun state are not working coz there is no Gas supply like b4, if things continue like this honestly speaking no production company will remain in this country b4 the end of this year. What baffles me is that we Nigerians are synonymous to suffering, Nigeria Youths av not woken up from their dream to float a new party that will pack both APC and PDP to one side coz non of these devish party will restructure this country rather than to loot for themselves and their grandchildren but posterity will judge u all. 26 Likes |
