They claimed it was the PDP but now we know the truth.

As a Yoruba man and one that have lived in Lagos all his life - apart from normal travels of about 2 weeks. I love Bola Ahmed Tunubu's political style.

One of them being the fact that he is a NADECO chieftain and also in the forefront of those clamoring for return to civil rule from the military.

In 1999 I vigorously campaigned and voted for him and Chief Olu Flalae. He further gained my respect when he was the first governor that pointed out that every state, especially Lagos should have it own police, he championed for a holistic restructuring of the entire federation and clamored for resource control by states.

But he surprised me with bougous taxation of the populace of Lagos and when he was encountered, his response was that, it is only when you pay tax that you can call out the government for accountability. I went back and thought of it and concluded that probably that was the reason Europeans are taxed heavily hence thier leaders account for it because you can not pay tax and someone will just come and embezzle it, definitely you will fight for it.

Fellow Nairalanders, I stared paying taxes willingly. But I realized that there was no project or policies that is programmed to alleviate the suffereing of the masses, rather they use some tax money to create another money milking instruments to take more from us.

Check all the projects, none is free of milking the masses.

I concluded that in Nigeria, since political office holders are immune to be challenged as per the constitution, then we can not hold them accountable till they finish thier tenure.

I lost my respect for Asiwaju as I realized his greedy nature and the forceful acquisition of lands from all over Lagos state alloting to himself through proxy during his sway at the helms.

2007 I and other average Lagocians knew it was only Funsho Williams that the cap fits but went on to rest onto the Lord as he bowed the the powers of political rascals.

Raji Fashola came and I can't remember how taxes in Lagos grew to such extent that you wake up to hear another new taxation. Both tolls built by tax payers money.

They empowered street urchins as revenue collectors making them over - night millionaires.

2015 I strongly opposed to PMB/PYO candidature because of the influence of Bola Tinubu. They emerged winners and we expected they will implement the National Conference document which Tinubu and its cohorts championed for, the will further make Nigeria a better nation/country.

When they said the report National conference document is for the archives and rewarded Tinubu with Babatunde Fowler as FIRS chief, then I knew our monies are already in the pockets of Tinubu. If you know Lagos well, you will understand what I mean.

Please we should beware of the REAL TAX COLLECTORS!

PMB I know would have tackled the current glaring and open curruption going on among those trusted and appointed. But he would have been told of thier importance in protecting his from equally being exposed and impeached.

Buhari means well for Nigeria and Nigerians apart from his nepotism and lopsided appointments. His hands are tied, if it were during his days in the early 80's where he control both Supreme Military Council and the Judiciary...hmmm some politicians, even his closest associates would have run to countries they will not be recognized.

Make I no write too much...

The essence of the is that useless form that they just announce that every Nigerian must register on.... Na thunder go fire those who initiated it!

Tinubu surprise you with bogus taxation but you refuse to say one thing you paid taxes on.

People like you are the reason why some of us neutral chose to side with Tinubu / APC. A criminal minded Tinubu with any of his protégé will run Lagos a trillion times beta than the best of PDP.

The other days I asked my cuz who is a staunch PDP supporter if PDP was generating the IGR in Lagos will PDP be taking only 10% n I ask him to judge using state like Abia Delta Akwa Ibom Enugu that PDP as been ruling since 1999. He is yet to reply me till this hour knowing how criminal minded PDP is.

To those that we wail that we are not comparing APC n PDP I totally agree but I chose to be a realist. Democracy only offers the best of available alternatives n I repeat APC will always be beta. Just imagine a fool like Agbaje as governor of Lagos. When Funsho Williama was alive Lagosians chose him because they know he can deliver but who does PDP have that is beta than APC today n in 2023 ?

APC is already preparing that bank manager who retired n is in senate now to take over once Sawno complete his terms PDP will be breading tout to take over Lagos. It is sick any Yoruba will write all the OP wrote without proffering a single solution to the menace APC in Lagos but the reason is simple you are out to discredit APC n silently promote the devilish PDP.

You can keep masking your foolery but as soon as Lagosians discover your preference your will be sent back to the gutters you come from.

Lastly APC is definitely not good enough for Lagos n will never be but PDP in Lagos is doom itself. So when any criticize Tinubu n Lagos pls proffer alternatives so we know where to take u on.
