Have you taken the time to see the sort of country you are in? Jobs like forensic science can never be high -demand here in Nigeria because of certain "factors ". But if you have a passion for it, then no problem. But consider your options carefully

My brother, I studied chemical engineering (which is just like chemistry) and I can tell you that such knowledge is completely useless in Nigeria. As we speak, I am currently pursuing a degree in medicine which is why I always advice that people should go for something that is marketable, and that will flow easily with the Nigerian economy

Moreover, Chemistry should be a 4year course in the Faculty of physical Sciences while FST is a 5year course in the Faculty of agricultural science/agriculture

You most likely went to a specialized uni. Chemistry in uniben, aau, lasu, unilag,pay,uo etc is four years.
