Joke of a country, where a school is protesting spending 3yrs in the same level, some denied going for service only for HR to frustrate the fortunate graduates will ridiculous age requirement.

Isn't it funny the age requirement is different from that of Rwanda, just the way the price of Dangote cement is way cheaper in other African countries than here in Nigeria?

Dangote cement is not cheaper in other countries. This assertion has been clarified.

And Rwanda is a different economy with a much less competitive work force, which is why the age condition can be less restrictive.

I recently saw a job advert for Access Bank entry level for Rwandans, and to my greatest suprise its age requirement is below 30. I nearly weep for my 26 year old friend who applied for the same role here in Nigeria (Graduate Trainee for Nigerians) that got rejected after passing through all the phases of the recruitment. She got rejected at the documentation stage because she was above 24 (yes ooo! 24). Although she was aware of the age requirement, but she made that application thinking the age requirement mighty be waived since she's just 26. To cut the long story short she did not make it past the documentation stage.

Recently I was going through this website called opportunity for Africans, and I saw access bank entry-level recruitment for Rwandans and the age requirement is below 30. This made me to see why most Nigerians often falsify their age.

The issue here is best practice not one country being a standard for others.

The mobile phone you are using is also Foreign not made in Naija. but you use it, its not the standard but a necessity and makes life easier. why restrict age and bury competence in job applications

Aren't most jobs in Nigeria advertized with a max of 26 yrs of age, as a requirement for application ?

A lady once told me "you know Nigerians now, if you don't add the age limit, one 40 yr old papa will come and be applying." I was :/.... and so ?

Of all the practices I've seen in my Nigerian adult life, this is perhaps the weirdest. Later, they will start saying "lazy adults," as the youths mature into their 30s. Lol.
