Go to Gtb bank were we have mature men as staff doing banking services and providing solutions for its customers.

3 core staff times all their branches nationwide, you'll know that they employ hundreds if not up to a thousand GTs every year. And Access bank is about the most decent bank to work. The thing in banking is that employees turnover is high that's why they're always recruiting.

But you need to cast away this connection mentality. The financial services and banking sector is one of the easiest to get employed if you're qualified and sharp. That's how I entered one bank and some service executives were thinking it was through connection. After I sweat for aptitude test and accessment centre finish, do 3 months training school come work for 3 months jakpa. Now some done take me as mentor for the job hustle industry. And I'm still looking for better soap.

Sometimes it seems it's hard to be a Nigerian living in Nigeria. That Acess of a bank is something else. The other day I collected counterfeit #1000 note from their ATM located at their branch at Garden Avenue Enugu and the teller I complained to denied their ATM dispensing counterfeit notes.

The same training school filled with contract staff.......go and do your research and find out the number of core staff employed into Access Bank, I bet with you maximum of 3 core staff.

Don't be naive and mix Contract staff with Core Staff of the bank....those you see in training school are Contract Staff.

Imagine I was called for an interview in Access bank Ojota early this year and during the interview session, the interviewer called me Grandpa after knowing my age and ask me to leave that the job is for 24 or 26 with Msc. I recently saw a job advert for Access Bank entry level for Rwandans, and to my greatest suprise its age requirement is below 30. I nearly weep for my 26 year old friend who applied for the same role here in Nigeria (Graduate Trainee for Nigerians) that got rejected after passing through all the phases of the recruitment. She got rejected at the documentation stage because she was above 24 (yes ooo! 24). Although she was aware of the age requirement, but she made that application thinking the age requirement mighty be waived since she's just 26. To cut the long story short she did not make it past the documentation stage.

Recently I was going through this website called opportunity for Africans, and I saw access bank entry-level recruitment for Rwandans and the age requirement is below 30. This made me to see why most Nigerians often falsify their age.

In the UK it's illegal to discriminate against someone age. You can't recruit base on age, religion, ethnic group or race.

Nigeria is just a weird country, in a country that closes its universities every year, how can you place an age band on graduate that might spend 8 years to complete a 4-year degree.

I am just grateful that I left that godforsaken country.

don't blame the bank, blame ur country. I believed that country has a law that stipulates 30 as max age for entry level job and they had no choice but to stick with it if they must operate there

Overpopulation is when the population of people is more than the available resources, which is what is currently happening in Nigeria. China that you are talking about is a manufacturing hub, they export a lot and their huge population is creating value. The only resource that is growing in Nigeria as the population is growing is building of more churches, now tell me what economic benefit. building of more churches creates.

Just imagine if all those churches were to be a manufacturing hub, just like it is in China,believe me, as universities are admitting new students, companies would have booked down graduate even before they graduate.

Look @ this scenario for instance, A man who is a security man got married to a petty trader and they gave birth to 8 children, you should already know that, that is poverty raise to power 10. Compared to another scenario where such man and his wife doing same job who gave birth to 1 or 2 children.

The second family will live a better life than the 1st family, though both of them are poor, but in the situation of the 2nd family they are just four of them depending on the family meagre income, compared to the 1st family of 10.

China has more population than Nigeria, but it doesn't mean they are overpopulated, they are harnessing the advantage of that population to increase productivity, their population is an asset to them and not a liability like in the case of Nigeria. They don't have redundant population, they produce enough goods and services that will take care of the population and they still have more than enough to export to other countries, now compare that to Nigeria that can't even feed its citizens.

When you have a high population that are unproductive, it will become a burden and that is the condition in Nigeria.
