cankerworm: It's great to know that Dr. Andrew Okpaleke children are all Medical Doctors. Dr. Okpaleke established a hospital somewhere in Raji Rasaki Estate, Lagos, Nigeria, even though he could have continued to live in comfort in the US. He once told me that it broke his heart to see Nigerians die from illnesses that should not claim their lives if they were living in the US. However, he had to eventually close the above hospital and return to the United States as he was not really getting any support to take care of the poor and needy people. If he was being supported by an NGO or a rich Nigerian Foundation, maybe his hospital here will still be functional and would have continue to help poor sick patients. 2 Likes |

Funkeshuga: Celebrate good things young lady so that good and better things will never depart from your life and that of your family. What is good is good and if some people want to attach ethnicity into it then it's their business not your, so if you feel pain then when it's the turn of your own people do as you like God no go vex. |

I knew it just couldn't be in Nigeria. It's only Abroad that such could happen. Poverty has been wiped off this family lineage. If they were in Nigeria, am sure, half of those children would be either selling handbags and shoes online or learning Makeup or tailoring becos Jamb no go gree make dem study Medicine. Some will be studying Biology in one polytechnic while the other will be teaching chemistry and further maths in one private secondary school earning N20-25K per month due the high unemployment rate. Nigeria kills dreams. Nigeria has killed lots of dreams. I used to have big dreams before but not anymore. A man abroad once said that when you leave Nigeria and go abroad, you begin to discover that your dreams are valid and can be achievable. I need to leave this country. May God help me. |
