With what is going on in Nigeria. It seems that the center can't hold together and we are losing it eco-socially, financially. We have never been so divided like this as before.

What do you think about Nigeria unity? Do you think Nigeria should divide or restructure or continue as one?

Please state your reasons

It is better we divide: even if we restructure, north will still find it difficult to have the mind set that, Nigeria does not belong to them only, they are too backwarded to understand the word unity. So it is better we go in our separate ways I believe each separate units will survive with time. And I wish each units the best in advance, because it will come to past just matter of time.

Restructuring should be better. All region will work hard to grow together

Just before any sane mind talks about balkanization, we must try restructuring. Restructuring, in this context, does not mean returning to regions. Instead, imeans each state running its security architecture, controlling its resources and paying a fed tax.

State that cannot survive independently should return to the former state they were created from. This is where you will see smart people coming to leadership because the feeding bottle system we have now is spoiling politicians. Every month, they run to Abuja and share Niger Delta money.

I don't like the idea of returning to regions because it cannot work in many places. For instance, people in Benue have always maintained that they cannot be under Kaduna under a North Central arrangement.

More importantly, the constitution must be amended to allow regions who don't want to continue with the union to pull out. However, I always maintain that nobody would be talking about secession in Nigeria if there were justice, security, equity and fairness.
