Blood of Zeus

For a show with the name of a Greek god in it, they sure didn't fail to display them in their magnificence, grandeur and opulence.

As expected the human characters were just pawns in their lust, treachery, machinations, anger and quest for power as it has always been and is supposed to be.

You name them: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Apollo, Hermes, Ares and a brief appearance from Oga Hades.

It'll be fascinating to see where they'll take the series going forward.

While we are at this, I wish we could get a faithful adaptation of the Trojan War (The Iliad), not these half-cooked meals from Hollywood a la Troy and Troy: Fall of a City.

A 10/12 episode series in BoZs's format will be enough to tell the story including the god's interference and so many vast characters much of whom we don't see onscreen. I understand the fact that a live adaptation of the story will be a huge financial undertaking hence BoZ's format.

Might I mention that they do justice and go back to the very beginning on how a dispute among the gods (Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite) courtesy of (Peleus and Thetis) triggered the conflict and stop this Paris/Helen love story bullshit.

I don't normally rate series, but I'll advise you familiarize yourself with Greek mythology before checking it out.

I haven't been here for a long time now and this thread never fails to disappoint.

Succession is a top HBO show please. I'm waiting for Season 3.

I'm surprised that we still don't have any faithful adaptation of The Iliad. When I read it years back, I was intrigued by the gods' role in the conflict, sub-plots, rivalries and characters.

I hate the fact that it's always toned down to a love story when there's so much more.

I can only but wish.

Modified: Diomedes and Aeneas were my favorites.

also there's a lot of plot armor, especially with the side characters, am still confused how in the finale all the bad guys died but none of the supposed good guys didn't... this show is nothing like GOT...

Easy there...
The show is really good, I wasn't disappointed. The GOT you are comparing it to didn't even start well at first, with confusing season 1.
And I don't know if it's same show we watched because all the bad guys are pretty much alive, the main villain now even seemed to have come back stronger from the fold.

They're still building the side characters, the show have the prospect to last up to 6 season, so chille

For marvel standard, this is BAD, like awfully bad IMO.

The final costume was just ridiculous. Nothing really intriguing to look forward to in season 2(hopefully there isn't).

For me, this shoe just fall marvel hand finish.
