It was early August of 2020 when I got an invitation text to come for an interview in newly established entertainment industry here in the East.

We numbered over 300 who came for the interview and after much screening, 62 staff were selected.

The daily training was intense and interesting too because of the Manager we had, he was so detailed and funny also.

Amongst trainees were beautiful ladies of all shapes and sizes and intelligence.
The first day I saw my girlfriend, I didn't feel anything, she's very young and beautiful and opposing too (one of my likes about women). I realize she's a little opinionated, hence she got my attention.

We were all given appointment letter to our various positions. Mine was what I applied for but my gf didn't get hers, she was rather given something else. She came to me to complain since we are now friends and I told her that maybe the reason why she wasn't given the position she wanted was because she's short (Sarcastically, but I meant it)

She got angry and opposed me (I have a thing for women who oppose actions, especially when they have reasons). I apologized and we got along....... Boom we started dating.

The next month, I got promoted to one of the managers, everyone was happy for me.
I have been a senior staff for like 8 months now and I must tell you that it has been a terrible experience.

My girlfriend is choking the hell out of me at work. She's very lukewarm in terms of carrying out her duties, when I confront her to do her work, she will tell me that I'm being too harsh on her. How can you litter your department like this and go home? she will tell me she's tired, I will have to assign someone else to do it, but it's her duty.

This keeps happening all the time, if I shout at her at work (when she gets on my nerves) she won't talk to me again for weeks and she won't greet me at work. If I ask her questions about sales, she won't reply me.

The most recent one was her and her colleagues misbehaving and I queried them, others replied my query, but she didn't. I wanted to let go, but one of the senior staff asked about her own reply to the query. I was forced to surcharge her N5,000 since she didn't reply, that means she's guilty.
After I served her the letter, she got angry and said "all the managers in this company are stupid" she said this to my face. Something she can't say to other managers.

Mehn! I was so furious and I was walking away when she threw her book at me, in front of other junior staff. OMG!...... I just walked away.
She's still keeping malice (her specialty) with me. I am not happy with her either.

I keep avoiding her so as not to get into more of what we are. But the work is suffering because of her dereliction.
Currently, I don't know how to tell her I don't want to be with her again, but I love her.

My advice
Never date at your place of work especially when you are bossing over her!

Well it happened to me recently when me and my ex gf were working in the same place, though she was a junior stuff to me because i was among those that trained her but along the line we started dating...

But trust me during working hours i treated her the same way i treated other staff, infact i feel i treated her worst to the extend that no one ever suspect us dating.. She do get angry most times but i do tell her that once we are at work then we must do work activities and am a different person at work and after work then am her bf, so she has to accept it that way not until she left... Af[s]ter she left, i was telling one of my close colleague that i dated her(my ex gf) but he didn't believe due to the fact on how i do treat her during work..[/s]

So don't allow any gf control you during working hours.....

I've had opportunities to Bleep my office secretaries, colleagues and even my boss's daughter. But my rule has been my saving grace so far. No office romance. if not, things go spoil.

I've had several bosses tell me their lewd adventures with secretaries in the office -even during office hours- and sometimes I'm tempted to have a taste of the cookie.

My female boss almost made it happened between us but I just have to use wisdom to avoid any romantic affairs.

It all started when she noticed how calm and playful I am anytime I am talking with my ex during my lunch break. She came to meet me one morning and queried me for no making the flight reservations on time, I apologised and told her that it was due to the poor connection.

Then she asked if that's how I apologise when I did something wrong to my ex, (I knew she was driving at something) I told her not all the time and the her facial expression changed. "That's how you guys are" was her reply.

She has been having issues with her boyfriend, though she's the reserved type, but she decided to let me know about the little issue she's having as I was very close to her.

After resolving the issue with her boyfriend, she told me that they'll be getting married soon, but that was not meant to be as the guy lost his life in an accident.

She was devastated and almost ran mad during that period, I offered the little help I could as I was placed in charge of the office.

When she recovered fully, and back to work, I noticed she started giving me this "greenlight" which I don't find cool. I had to limit the way I chat with her and let her know that I was there to work and not to engage in office romance.

She's 3yrs older, so beautiful and young but I nor dey do office romance to avoid SEE FINISH.

Quite that relationship before lose your job. You haven't even stamp your personality in the relationship not to talk of creating a boss aural at her at work. For the records she is not using you as an excuse not to do the job the truth is she don't have regards for you as boyfriend neither as boss, in plain English she don see you finish.

Those junior staff that witnessed the last outburst you think they don't know that something is going on between you and the girl for her to have such effonntary? Save the relationship and watch as how other junior staff will humiliate and rubbish you because of that girl. You don't have frame, you may be rich and old but not matured yet for relationships. Work on your frame.
