2million is a big big lie for a 2 years old blog. I know what I'm saying. Why can't he post the URL link of the blog here
You need his link for what? Whether you believe it or not, it changes nothing. If I have a two year old blog earning me good money, I can't share the link with anybody on nairaland no matter what you say. Nigerians never showed you shege!

Once a Nigerian know your link, small insult like this na straight to your blog.

Is not even possible because I have a 10 years plus website. And a friend has an almost 23 years old blog he bought its url from someone and built on it. He has one of the most read websites but it does not take home $5000 a month with 5 to 8 staff/writers.

In fact, $5000 was his goal the last time we spoke.

The only prove that can convince me is if you post the blog url here, and evidence that it belongs to you. Let me examine the blog and see for myself. cool

Its quite sad that we deceive ourselves so much in this nation.. Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme, blogging is like a building, you start from the scratch, foundation etc.. For someone to come and claim he makes a $5k on a two year old blog.. Make una dey rate us na..

Even if you made good money, the quoted money you posted is somehow..

If you are sure.. I dare you to post the url of your blog and I will analyse if I confirm it to be true I will apologize to you.. Apart from that... Lori Iro...

As in eeh. The only people I know talking down on AdSense are those banned by AdSense.

Just imagine turning your blog to link farm just to earn.
I'm surprised that even you (thought we knew a while ago) don't know the story.

I've had 3 Adsense accounts and sold off all, when I learnt Google is making a factory worker outta us all.

Why do I have to wait for 2 months to get paid (and why can't Google charge its own clients after successfully serving their ads) , and all the uncessary requirements. Besides the unsavory user experience the ads is constituting on the web.

After been fed up with Adsense, I delved into affiliate marketing which unfortunately burnt my blog DA from 38 to 22. Then I deleted over 500 affiliate pages from the blog.

Finally, I discovered what I call the business of blogging, which is guest posting services. Infact, clients pay even before delivering the job. Just received payment for a job this morning while still sleeping. cheesy

Of course Blogging is not dead, most of us want to become the next Linda Ikeji by just copying and pasting other peoples content.

There is no way on earth you will make money like that.

If you are serious about blogging, you should know the following

1. You need to understand SEO
2. You must do keyword research to know if the content you are writing is being searched by people
3. You must be creative
4. Do not do copy and paste
5. If you won't be original or you won't get access to breaking news do not do gossip and entertainment blogs , some top blogs have already dominated that niche and they pay people to source for content, it will be hard to beat them
6. You need to be consistent
7. You need access to the right tools
8. You need to look for other ways to monetize your blog
9. You need a good hosting
10. Be ready to do marketing, infact spend 80 percent of your time marketing and 20 percent of your time creating content
11. You need a mentor

If you would like me to mentor you, kindly join my Freelancer and online business group here.

https://www.lekeadelaja.com/group

Please this is not going to be free. I have come to understand that free trainings are never effective. It won't be expensive either. I will ensure everyone can afford it. Also

Nice one

Before I sold one of my blog to a Pakistan, I have also tested guest post money multiple times but apart from affiliate marketing, ezoic, AdSense still remains key monetization platform for starters and experts. I don't like when people talk down on AdSense just because it didn't work the way they expected.

Your advice is good but not for people with low DA/PA and traffic. Incessant guest posts was even one of the reason google update brought me from 11k pageviews daily to 800pv daily.

When people come and start saying things about blogging, I always say they will never say what is going on behind. Truth be told, blogging is not dead. But it requires good SEO, hard work and patience. Fir those who hate patient, then spending money to shorten the time is the solution.
The op claiming he is making 5k plus dollars under two years old blog is possible only with the trick above and also spending money. The amount of money op must have spent to achieve that will be way into millions. And he said even a 2k page views daily blog can give 1k dollars. Even if all the traffic is coming from USA, that is not possible.
You guys should do well to read Linda history. She started blogging in the early stage when it was easy to make money. Yet it took her 5 years to start making money from it. And another 5 to get a break through. So anybody telling you a two years old blog is making millions of naira is either lying or have spent millions of naira just like what legit.ng did

When you mentioned blogging or blog what comes to the mind of most Nigerians is Linda ikeji the celebrity blogger who just occupies a tiny space or niche , I always refer her as a gossip blogger.
Blogging is far More than that. blogging is broad, from medical, tech, finance, fitness which are broad niche to micro or sub niche like dating, fishing, sewing, swimming, recipes, parenting, cars, motorbike, wine, bear etc. I could list over 200 sub niches.

Here are some comment on that thread

Blogging has come to stay and it goes beyond gist or gossip which linda ikeji popularise.
I earned close to 2m plus this month.

Yes blogging takes patience, a blog should pick up from the 7th month , if everything is done right by the blogger then traffic should be coming in from 7th to 8th month as at the time of writing this post then the peak period should be 24 months.

Most successful blogger are on nairaland and I have contact with a few who i connected with to share some ideas though some choose to comment on thread and shy away from discussion on earnings etc.
There is a guy here whose sitz makes 4000 USD daily. shocked

Linda ikeji blog is not dry in fact she makes millions of naira in a single day from adsense. I can't say how much she earns but believe me she got an insane traffic that can guarantee more than 15,000 USD a single day.. Believe me she might make more than this. Most of her readers are Nigerians in diaspora who wants to know gist back home.

I got to know that via some tools, which shows that more people a from abroad gets news from there.

Nigerians are not lazy, Nigerians are great people with best brain only the society and our leaders are making us look dumb.

I know a Nigerian that makes 25k to 30k USD monthly on apps from play store.

You should understand that a sole aim of going into business is not to laugh.. See I don't blog for passion rather for money. That's it

Blogging is saturated.
There is room for everyone. Believe me. Blogging at the moment is not saturated. In fact Google once made it clear that over 30% of search quarries are something that haven't been searched before and over 3.5 billion searches are done daily.

The key here is identifying those searches and picking the ones that are not talk about on any site or few sites. Avoid the most competitive ones as a starter.

To earn high, don't target Nigerians as advertisers in Nigeria are not willing to pay as high when compare with USA, UK, Australia, Canada, etc.
If you get 2 thousand page views daily you can get approximately the payment paid up there.

Picking your fight at the weakest point is your chances of success. Finally Avoid copy and paste
