Hi everyone.

My passport will expire in less than two years. I decided to apply for passport migration since the duration of my course is 2 years. My new passport is not ready yet and I still have my current one.

My question is:

Can I use the current one to apply for my study permit and then submit the new one for visa stamping? I believe that my new one would be ready by then.

Should I withdraw my application or give them time . My school resume next month May 2021.

Hello

To add to what @onweke said, I recently just got this exact same email. All we can really do is to wait for IRCC to send our PPR.

Goodday house,

I submitted my application on April 20, 21 and did my biometrics on April 23, 2021. I submitted MBS and IELTS result with d application. I observed that my biometrics was effected on April 23. See a screenshot of what my profile is showing as it is still showing action required after by biometrics has been updated.

Is it advisable I book medicals now?

Pls can someone explain to me. Thanks

Hello,

You recently just submitted your application. In my opinion, you should allow things flow for a while before going for medicals.

Your Portal is most likely going to be updated very soon.

Please do not worry yourself.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES

Please wait for their decision. Keep sending mails and webforms to Nairobi, London and Beijing office. You can defer your admission to next session. There is nothing like "withdraw " (IRCC is not bank) . Withdrawing your application will not solve the problem but prolong it more. There are still October applicants here waiting for IRCC decision. You are not alone in this waiting period. Patience is the key.

Thanks so much for your candid advise . I appreciate this

I am seventeen also and I applied normally
I think the instruction on the IMM about getting a custodian is for those below 17
I really can’t remember

Hello Lamideyy,

Yes, you are right. As a 17 y/o (clocking eighteen), the IMM 5646e Form is OPTIONAL, but sometimes based on discretion, the officer may request for one and this may cause some delays. Hence my advise.

Cheers!

Thank you very much for your insight.
I have my HND in architecture.
So is it possible to do PGD in anything computer technology.
In addition, is there negatives to having Ordinary Diploma in Canada?

Hello Olamiikunle,

When it comes to immigration in general through the study route, it is always best to avoid unnecessary academic switch even if it is a genuine intent.

It is better to maintain a background related to either one's previous study and/or experience when applying for the permit. Thereafter, from within Canada, a switch can easily be effected.

This makes your intent, reason, and explanation very clear. Don't get it wrong, this doesn't mean that people are not been approved if a switch is effected at the time of the application processing, but not entirely encouraged.

If you are going for a Computer Technology program, go for a subfield that relates to architectural design in PGD. This helps you easily merge your study intent to the benefit of the study in a lineal progressional path.

Best of Luck

Hello house, happy sunday and thanks to all the gurus here. I applied for a post grad diploma in business mgt. I am awaiting my visa approval but will like to know few things as I desire to switch career path and possibly change my DLI upon landing.
I av seen people talking about letter of enrolment as a requirement at the port of entry.
Does it mean I have to enroll for my courses with my currently DLI before I land even tho I intend switching?
Also, do I need to inform my sch upon arrival that I will be switching and do not wish to continue with the program?
Someone should kindly clarify.

Hello Teeprecious,

Getting the enrollment letter varies from each DLI. You can drop the name of your DLI and maybe someone here who happens to attend the same DLI with you can point you in the right direction.

Don't communicate any intent to switch program yet. Get approved and land first.

Hi is it possible to quarantine in your apartment as long as it has en-suite bathroom and Anyone traveling first week of May

Hello Teeeee89,

After the 3-night hotel quarantine stay, you are allowed to complete the remainder of the quarantine days in your chosen destination, and if none is available to you, it can be completed in a government-provided facility.

So guys, I have been trying to put my documents together while I await my offer letter. For close to one year now, I have been building my POF at standard chattered bank only for me to find out today that I can’t access mybankstatement through the bank.
Now I am thinking I should move my money to another listed bank. Gurus in the house, I need your advice. Thanks in advance.

Hello Chrome1,

If this was my situation, I will leave the cash be for as long as it is verifiable. If the VO should request for MBS, reprint the regular BS or the previously used (if it is an NSE request) coupled with a concise LOE.

However, if you so desire to go through the NSE stream, you can make the transfer and support it with an LOE then include the cover page and the transactional page that reflects the funds movement.

Can I use Voters card as a means of ID for a family member ?

please house help me out how will i tackle a refusal that was purpose of visit pls gurus help me out.

Hello Daud12345,

Paste a screenshot of your notes if you have it so members here don't shoot blank when giving their honest opinions.

The purpose of visit refusal reasons is broad and can be traceable to your program level or study correlation, letter of study intent, future goals and study benefits, financial availability or sufficiency, etc.

The notes help give a clear understanding and traceable solution. If you wish, you may also drop your timeline so members who have answers can also give their opinions and suggestions accordingly pending the arrival of the notes, if you will be requesting it.

Hello Cflow10,

The voters card is a government issued document or record that contains sensitive information that IRCC is interested in, so you can use it.

Client information .

I will rather advise you submit mybankstatements and odd your IELTS so that they request for it. We that submitted altogether haven't really gotten updates while those that submitted after us by request had eligibility updates.

Just opinion please. My personal opinion.

Hey bro,

This isn't a wrong idea either. The baffling thing is, some applicants are not getting or did not receive NSE request.

Good morning everyone.
For the NSE documents, if I want to submit them at once with my application before they request for them under which section will I upload them?k

Hello Childgodly,

You can merge the IELTS TRF to the client information column and the MBS merged to the POF column upload.

I look forward to your success and the same as that of Oyinyebibian.

Hello Frankrobbn1, Justmellow, Lekiboboe, Please i really need your input.

I intend applying for my study permit soon, However, i have a bachelors in Accounting and i have a work experience around IT and Finance but i am going for a graduate diploma in Economics

please, How do i perfectly match this in my SOP?

Hello Prada1,

Approach it from a perspective that best relates to your future benefits as a trajectory to your career advancement. Focus on connecting your background in Accounting and Finance to Economics with a clear projection of what you intend to accomplish as an economist.

Outline your plans and ways you intend to achieve the plans through the study and demonstrate how the prospect employment is in demand in your country or your steps you can take to set up yourself upon the program completion.
