Good morning house!

NSE request received this morning (my biometrics was updated 16th April, same day I did it).

Concerning MBS, instead of 6 months' funds for an account of 12 months, I have 4 months and 10 months respectively. Is it advisable I submit all the same, perhaps including an LOE? Considering also that I have a GIC since November 2020.

Kindly advise.

Hello Jonosas,

You can respond all the same and include the GIC as support. There will be no need for the LOE. Keep me updated.

Hello Teeprecious,

Getting the enrollment letter varies from each DLI. You can drop the name of your DLI and maybe someone here who happens to attend the same DLI with you can point you in the right direction.

Don't communicate any intent to switch program yet. Get approved and land first.

Best of Luck

Thank you for the response.
God bless you.

Thanks a lot. God bless you.
To answer your questions:

1) Yes my spouse is accompanying in my EE application.
2) I don't intend to use my IELTS general for school however, I don't want to write IELTS academic I'm hoping I'd get a waiver in some school since I'm going for a graduate study. I will check NSE requirement now.
3) Yes you are right, most schools are for next sessions as deadlines have been met for 2021. We are looking for affordable schools. My spouse may be the one to apply cos he already has PGD in IT he wants to tow the IT path.
4) My experience is in the line of office Administration, I have 4yearsplus experience. I want to go into practical career maybe health or any other.
5) We are fervently searching for schools already.
6) My ordeal is that I am Post AOR, I got ITA Nov 2020 but applied to withdraw my application over 1 month ago because I found out a mistake that increased my CRS after I ordered GCMS. It has not been initiated yet and I'm hoping for a miracle. I will be 30 years in October and will lose points from my 470.

Thanks a lot for your response.

Hello Mirian91,

I am sorry to hear about the temporary setback in your EE application. It's really painful to note after the challenges with transcript collection, ECA, and wait for ITA.

I will be glad to assist you as you progress with your application. Quote me or reach out when you need help.

May Canada soil be under your feet soon.

Good morning guys,

I sent my passport to Abuja in response to PPR, the package got to the office, but they didn't even open it and they wrote REJECTED on it. What didn't I do right? I had my Biometrics done in Lagos two years ago. Or didn't I get the Abuja VAC office right?

Hello Psychosocial,

Where was the rejected written on? Did you make the transmission fees payment?

Hello Prada1,

Approach it from a perspective that best relates to your future benefits as a trajectory to your career advancement. Focus on connecting your background in Accounting and Finance to Economics with a clear projection of what you intend to accomplish as an economist.

Outline your plans and ways you intend to achieve the plans through the study and demonstrate how the prospect employment is in demand in your country or your steps you can take to set up yourself upon the program completion.

Best of Luck
Thank you JustMellow, I have also sent you a mail please. I await ur response. God bless you.

Hi everyone.

My passport will expire in less than two years. I decided to apply for passport migration since the duration of my course is 2 years. My new passport is not ready yet and I still have my current one.

My question is:

Can I use the current one to apply for my study permit and then submit the new one for visa stamping? I believe that my new one would be ready by then.

Hello AdoChel,

Since the renewed PP upon its issuance will carry the old PP number, you can go ahead to apply with it. You can even decide to send the biodata page of the renewed PP to IRCC by webform or email even before PPR once the renewed PP becomes available.

I made the payment and included the receipt in the package. From what I was told, the package wasn't opened and was refused at the gate. Without any explanation. The courier office I called yesterday said they'll try delivering it again tomorrow. I asked that they say least hey an explanation from them tomorrow as to why it was refused. Hoping for the best

Your thoughts on my approach or additional points will be appreciated.

I have attached the note below.

Hello Ggoldee29,

What was your previous study and/or current experience? How did you demonstrate the benefit of your study and/or future plans, or how did you explain what you intend to accomplish through the study?

It is also advised that you request your notes to help give more insights into the officer's concerns and ways to address them. It may be better if you apply alone.

I look forward to your response.

Hello family,

Is there anymore that got approved without eligibility status changing to "we are reviewing your eligibility"? or if it changed very close to when they got approved...

I'm thinking sometimes IRCC don't update these things..I would like to see those with previous approvals shed in more light, thank you.

Hope my question makes sense.. grin

If someone has a Masters in Risk Management and an undergrad in Economics and statistics. Is it advisable to go ahead and apply for a Data analytics program (certificate)? What course would you please recommend.

Pls what is GCMS notes

The GCMS means Global Case Management System. It is a system used by IRCC ( Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) to process immigrations i.e ( study permit, Permanent residency etc) and citizenship ( applications for citizenship and the likes etc) applications.

The system contains a detailed record of each applicant’s file, including correspondence to and from IRCC, documents received from the applicant, detailed notes from the officers reviewing the file, and other relevant information. These notes give an overview of the current progress of the review of an applicant's submitted application.

The GCMS notes are considered to be the only option for applicants to get the most accurate and exhaustive view of their IRCC file.

Thank you @justmellow.

I studied Business Administration as my 1st degree and have worked in the Banking industry for the past 18 yrs. My story will be centered around career progression.

Can I still order the GCMS note for a 2019 refusal on Visitors Visa? If yes, I will get on to it asap.

Would I be requesting for both application or the last one?

This is my 1st Study permit visa application.

Thank you for your suggestions and advise.

First Apllication Paper Vist Visa Refused
Submitted in Jan 2018.
Refused March 2018.
Biometrics Jan 2018.

1. based on travel history
2. based on purpose of your visit
3. based on peronal assets and financial status.
Application submitted in person Lagos Nigeria.

2nd Application Online.
Study permit application(Diploma in Practical Nursing Sheridan college Ontario)Principal applicant Wife.
Spouse TRV application submitted
Child TRV application submitted
Application submitted Online Istanbul Turkey
Submitted March 6,2021 and refused March 23rd,2021.

Refusal reasons:
based on your family ties in canada and country of residence.
based on your immigration status
based on limited employment prospects in your country of resisence.

GCMS NOTES requested March 26,2021 and recieved April 20,2021.
I am not satisfied the application would leave canada at the end of their stay as a temporary resident ,i note that.
1.The client is married or has dependants or states to have close family ties in their home country but is not sufficiently established.
2.The applicants immigration status in their country of residence is temporary which reduces their ties to their country.
3.Based on the client limited employments prospects in the country of residence/citizenship.I have accoreded less weight to their ties to their country of residence/citizenship.
Weighing the factors in this application.I am not satisfied the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay.

3rd Application for FALL 2021
She has just been offered a new admission for PHARMACY TECHNICIAN fall 2021 in the same college and the school fees paid already have already been applied for this new program. She's planning on applying this time but i need to ask if she should applying alone or with the kid(1.5 years old).
I been the spouse intend not to apply with them this time to my own knowledge but I’m concerned about this reasons below:
1. Can she apply and leave the 1.5 year old baby behind with me and then we can apply after the study permit gets approved
2applicant should apply with the baby together and I will be the ties in Nigeria since I’m not applying with them until the visa is approved .
3. Should they still apply here in Turkey or back home in Nigeria either ways works for me.
I will be glad if you can be of help by sharing your ideas with me.

Hello Kayz3446,

First, I will like to know if your spouse has any work experience after her studies in Nigeria before accompanying you to study in Turkey. As a dependent, does your study visa cover her resident stay in Turkey?

My take:

• This time, the application should be made from within Nigeria.

• Immediately she lands, get an employer to issue her a job offer letter and get salary pay into her BA for like 2 - 3 months (if there is no rush or urgency) backed with payslips. Her basic salary should be up to 300 - 450k or as the case may be.

• Get the employer to issue a study leave approval letter and an employment letter of introduction.

n.b. The study leave approval letter can be backed to reflect the period she left with you to Turkey. Meaning she can claim to be an old employee of the organization. If your registered company is in line with her study line, then no need for an employer.

• Employment ID card should be included and a picture of a welcome back to the office with other employees should be included, if applicable.

• Set up a fx deposit in her name and include the certificate, if applicable.

• Her letter should detail the plans for her intended study once completed and if possible get a partnership MoU or contract agreement to function in a capacity related to her study.

• it will be better if your spouse has two letters. The SOP to outline her study interest and the economic benefit in Nigeria and the LOE to address the officer's concerns.

• A sole application should be filed and can immediately file for the baby after getting approved.

• All reasons and explanations should be anchored from a socioeconomic viewpoint and should be well worded.

• The return ticket back to Nigeria from Turkey should be included along with other visa stamps.

• Include a letter of consent from you permitting and/or acknowledging that a close family member (preferably mother or siblings or as applicable) will be the custodian of the child in Nigeria until her study completion. Same acknowledgement should be gotten from the custodian in agreement to the agreement.

n.b. this is not a guarantee that the outcome will be successful, but these are some suggestion that can be resourceful.

I am in close contact with someone who is in same situation that applied from the Neitherland and got refused. The said cane down to Nigeria to reapply but still, was refused. I advised a JR and the said person won. In other words, if the funds is available for a JR, set aside a budget just in case.

Let me know if you have further query.

Best of Luck
