Its quite funny people still register for this category B...
Or are they some new development we have not heard..
Some of us already have 5 rejections from previous semester..
And people are legit looking for admission and registering appointments in category B

Hi @Itstomisin

Since the deadline is in September, you have two options.

1. Get a certificate from your University stating that the course you took was in English.
NB This is meant to be a certificate and not a letter. I am thinking that is why they used the phrase 'diploma'

2. Prepare for IELTS in 4 weeks and get at least 7, it is possible.

Itstomisin:
Good day everyone... I'm quite new to Nairaland and I don't know how to post here that is why I'm quoting this message.

I applied for an English taught Master degree in University of Gottingen. However, I got a mail from them last week that to complete my registration, I need to submit a proof of English language proficiency test( international recognized proficiency test). So I replied their mail that I was told I can submit a proof that I schooled in an institution where English language was a medium of instruction and which was why I submitted Letter of Proficiency that was given to me from my institution. However, it seems they don't accept letter of proficiency because from this mail, they said I need a Diploma supplement that I was taught in English.

Please who knows what diploma supplement means? Has anyone used it before? How does it look like?.... because I asked a lecturer of mine and he said he's not aware of anything about diploma supplement.
Thank you in advance for your kind response.

Seems Germany embassy situation in Nigeria has not improved. Can some of you look at Switzerland?
I spoke with my Swiss neighbour today, he's told me about studies in Switzerland is about 800 Swiss Franc per semester equivalent to almost 800 EUR too although living expenses is high, the wages for working students is high too about 20 EUR per hour and a student can afford the 800 EUR semester fee, 400 EUR apartment (approximately).
I do not know further details but interested persons can find a thread on it here on Nairaland.com or other sources.

Remember you need to show proof of CHF21, 000 in your name deposited in a bank accessible in Switzerland ( CHF is almost the same rate with USD) . Also, Switzerland has a law
regulating employment of immigrants ; your employer must show proof that (1.) no citizen of Switzerland is qualified and available for such job. (2) no EU citizens in Switzerland is qualified and available for such job (3) that he has first made efforts without receiving any interest from Swiss and EU Citizens ; before the Job can be given to a Non-EU member. You can check their regulations on employment of immigrates to see for your self.

MrAAA2, how much will it cost to travel to and stay in Dubai for 6 months in order to get the residence permit?

My Senior brother did his for about 1.1million in 2019 ( 2 years resident permit). Also you have to pay for visa and flight tickets which should be around 400k, maybe less , may be more. Just know it is in that region. So you'll have to budget about 1.5 million for the journey..

Make sure you don't have HIV/Aids, hepatitis b and one other disease like that...

MrAAA2, how much will it cost to travel to and stay in Dubai for 6 months in order to get the residence permit?

N.B: You stay in any of the Emirates (states) of UAE for 6 months doesn't grant you residence permit.

To get to UAE, you need a 90 days tourist visa that might cost up to 150-200K. You can find flight fees (RETURN/TWO-WAY) for yourself but before lockdown, Airpeace will fly you for about 200k for flexi economy and a few other airlines with stops were a little cheaper.

Upon arrival, you get a sponsor to make your residence permit/Emirates ID and this can be done through employment, 'arranged' employment or freelance/self (which means you're not under any employment or you are a freelancer. The UAE is currently capitalising on the work from home strategy to manage the pandemic by offering people residence permit but are not necessarily working for anyone in the UAE.
In all, your options are limited if you don't have the money, rather, you can just go to any English speaking ECOWAS country, stay there and obtain their permit. UAE will definitely cost you up to 500k for a job seeking option and about 1.2m for freelance.

This is interesting to read. The reason I said they should look into it.
Nice analytics! In every EU member country, the rule is the same on employment of citizens first, EU members second, and any other migrants in order of relationship and 'need'. In Germany, they would prefer asylum seekers first, in order to integrate them into the system and minimise the amount they spend taking care of their house rents, health insurance and feeding stipends running over 700 EUR per month!

Yes, each set of documents for each school with their application form. But if you're applying directly to the school via online where you have to upload documents yourself, that wouldn't be necessary as one set of documents will be used for all. But in a situation where you've to mail your documents to each school, then separate certifications suffice.

Please can I PM you

For this you really don't need to get 3 month visa, just 30 days visa is enough for you to get all papers set for your UAE residence permit. For the entire process, I will say you budget around 1.3-1.5M for the residence permit. Accommodation then varies based on your pocket. You can get bed space in Sharjah for around 300-600AED/month while you can get a room in a shared apartment for around 1300-1800AED/month.

Budget a total cost of around 3-4M for your entire stay in UAE.

Living like adult students in a shared ROOM (usually 6-8 persons per room) will cost between 40-60k per month also depending on the area (Deira, Satwa, all industrial areas; Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaima- the poorest Emirates are cheaper than Al Ain, Dubai-Marina and Downtown, Al Nahda (in Sharjah) is also cool in price if you can find guys to share a room in a flat with because that is better and you can share the average rent of 2000-2500 AED among yourselves.
All of these depends on whether you want to work or to 'live' in the UAE. Difference dey o.

Also for anyone that wants to consider UAE, kindly do your homework well and make sure your contacts is a sure person because there are so many Fraud in here. Make sure you avoid Pakistanis in all you do.

Tourism is nonessential travel, due to COVID the visa application might be rejected.

Sterling bank is your plug...visit any of their branch.

You're expected to open a Dom account with them, source for the euro then fund it and they will do the transfer but still have it at the back of your mind that you're the one that will bear the charges as the school might have inform you ahead of time.

It so funny. Here in south Cyprus. They would prefer giving asylum seeker job first. After paying them monthly. Over student. It's really a painful thing. You will see aslyum seeker looking fresh, driving car.
