Get a DE , you can't go wrong with elect elect. You have diverse field where you can work compare to geophysics.

Never lose that opportunity of becoming an engineer

Go with this advice, it is your best bet.

Urgent Advice needed. I have upper class in electrical electronics (ND level) 3.02cpa.

The course was not accredited in time but It has been accredited last year and I have obtained the certificate.

While waiting at home, I opt for geophysics at a university.

Should I continue with the geophysics, note, I am at 200 level. OR get a direct entry form and go into electrical electronics engineering proper?.

I can do well with numbers and Physics.
Secondly, which of these training school is popular in the oil and industry:
1 Gabson Professional School of Safety and Engineering Ltd,
2 Mudiame Welding Institute Limited,
3 Skytraine International Limited,
4 BOMI Steel and Pipeline Engineering Company Limited.

Which of them can offer me an American society for welder certificate (AWS).

Thirdly which skills are the most in-demand in the oil sector currently?

I need your honest advice please because I am in a fix.
. 1 Is your interest in Elect Elect ? 2. Do you understand it better than Geophysics? If your answers are YES go for a DE and further your course in Elect Elect. Please wait untill you are admitted for Elect Elect before you discontinue your Geophysics...As for the last question I don't have any idea on it.

Your question is best answered by a mentor, or Career Engineer.

Our problem in Nigeria is that we go to school to study courses but we don't FIRST find people working in that career to ask all our relevant questions.
Now you're throwing question into gbogboero market, expecting specific technical advice instead of going to a technical website or asking a technical person.
Start with your lecturer that even taught you the courses that you studied.
Go and meet him and ask, let him link you with professionals and professional websites. Not this jaga-jaga, tribalistic, hatred-filled website.

Well ill advise you consult an Education Counselor ...a professional advise is better than seeking random online suggestions that may not have the effective reappraisal.
Anyways OP in all you do get an Online Skill that can effectively allow you earn @least $5 - $10 daily o.
More so there is a different world out there in the employment market and so many companies now look out for special skill sets...

Firstly, it's my view that it'll be a mistake chasing after oil and gas solely, while you can have good career and money there, it's more like burrowing oneself into a corner, do a conventional engineering course and if in the end oil and gas is appealing to you, your chances of getting in is still good. So keep an open mind.

The day I walked into the subsea engineering department of one of the oil majors, all the engineers there are civil engineers, with electrical engineers for control part, etc. Core engineering disciplines have better chances everywhere.

Between geophysics and electrical, I think it's best if you continue with electrical engineering, if you have passion for it, and if you can get the direct entry, even though you have gone 2 years in geophysics, I think it's a matter of how well, rather than how fast. It's always the best to focus on one area and attain mastery.

I don't know much about the institutes you listed, but a research or asking the right persons will tell you if they can offer the certification you're looking for, AWS or CSWIP is a good one.

Lastly still do your own research too, as your own background and situation is peculiar to you.

My heart goes out to those who have contributed to this thread. I will take every piece of advice to heart. No one who has contributed useful advice here will make mistake in life.
I have met my HOD, he gave me two conditions 1 if my GPA is still in the Ist class level, He will not let me go. 2. He will advise me to go to electrical electronic If I were his boy because I am good with numbers.

Continue with your geophysics, you're almost through. Geology/ geophysics is a nice course

Ah aunty, is not about nice course, is about getting to work with it and earn better pay once you are through.

Those two courses need additional force like rich people/politicians to get them into their field
