Since they arrived Nigerians have been born and gone to study civil engineering in different place but any major JB project is headed by white people. How come they have not developed OUR PEOPLE. ? Because our politicians don't tell them to. They continue giving them expatriate quota exemptions. The Chinese operated differentl and put knowledge transfer clauses in when they awarded major contracts.

People development is more important than shiny projects that can be burnt or bombed overnight

2. Most of their engineers are Nigerians, we see them on site all over the place and , construction workers are support staff are all Nigerians.

3. JB not only employ over 13,000 Nigerians, they also offere schorlaship and internship that you yourself can apply so, what is the meaning of your false and disingenouse rouse about Human capital?

Is your new bogus argument and the reason why we should not build hospitals and heatlhcare infrastructure is because of human capital at JB even though nearly all the JB construction workers and engeneeres charged to build this hospital are mostly Nigerians?

Once again we do not need biggest hospital in Africa in Lagos.
Biggest Hospital is no measure of the health of a people
When Olikoye Kuti was alive he started a paediatrics and Primary Care revolution policy which was epic and still serves us well today.
The CHER at LUTH was a signature department. It was not "biggest" or any other bogus superlative but it did a good job as a referral centre and providing outreach all the way to Ogun State.
Break down the old Massey and rebuild it MODESTLY
Establish a Paediatric unit at every General Hospital in the state just like at LUTH
There is no need for biggest anything at this time. That is vainglorious egotism.
More resources should be put into providing potable water and better sanitation for ALL Lagosians.
The simple counterintuitive truth is optimal public health is not achieved by greater investment in tertiary care anywhere in the developing world
Our life expectancy is 54 years .That will not be changed by these kinds of initiatives.
Rather focus should be on Primary Care, and Public Health measures like vaccination, sanitation , etc

LAGOS DEVELOPS BLUEPRINT FOR HEALTHCARE INFRASTRUCTURE

As part of efforts towards improving health service delivery in Lagos, the State Government has engaged a consultant to develop blueprints for healthcare infrastructure across primary, secondary and specialist facilities.

Speaking on what necessitated the development of the blueprint, Abayomi explained that the review of health infrastructure carried out in the State has revealed that health facilities have defects inflow and function to health needs of patients and providers thus militating against the delivery of efficient service delivery.





While noting that the prototypes will conform to global standards of healthcare facilities, he stressed that the design will be replicated in phases across the State to ensure the delivery of qualitative health services.

According to him, the architectural designs for the Lagos State Infectious Disease Centre, General Children’s Hospital and Doctor’s Quarters, which will conform with the prototype design have reached an advanced stage, adding that work has also begun on the blueprint for the Comprehensive Health Centre, Primary Health Centre, Health Post, Psychiatric Centre, Maternal and Child Centre as well as the Infectious Disease Research Institute.


He revealed that doctors’ quarters are also being planned for facilities that do not have one, hinting that the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Yaba will be breaking the grounds with 42-apartment doctors quarters which will commence next week.
