The issue is this:I have a BVN generated NIN.
Just a few weeks ago,the boys that 'own the land' stole my phone.
I then immediately blocked the lines(2) on d phone because they both are my business and banking lines (thank God I succeeded before they could hack my account).
When I went with just the NIN to do welcome back with MTN,was refused that I have to bring the NIN slip.
I thought they were joking because I provided a valid means of id.But they blatantly refused attending to me.
The next day I had to go to a centre,paid a little cash to get captured and get my NIN slip.Got registration slip.
Alas,this is 3 weeks since I registered and they are still telling me to check back,that it is still under processing.Infact I was told to check back in 2 weeks time again.
Dear nairalanders,please is there anyone that can help because the blocked lines have affected me adversely.
Or is there any other solution or I should just wait till whenever my slip comes out.I thought it was supposed to be a 1 week stuff.
Please any helper out there.

you can't just take NIN without the slip to retrieve line, you must go with the Nimc id card to do that.

But what I don't understand is this,since it is bvn generated, you are supposed to collect your permanent id card immediately, because your bank has enrolled you already so your NIN ought to have been out. You are not supposed to do another registration on that ,they are supposed to input your bvn and print the I'd card immediately and not doing another registration.

Honestly don't know if I went to the wrong set of agents because even the guy asked me if I had done NIN before because the same NIN number appeared on d screen,yet they couldn't print it out.
I just did the capture to authenticate the NIN as even d nimc site states,was expecting to get d NIN slip immediately,only to get shocked.

Don't know if it has to do with the fact that it was one of the blocked lines used in linking the sim.

U got it all wrong, affidavit is in place of your sim pack of the lost or blocked line,if u can't find the pack.
With affidavit u still need NIN to retrieve the line.

I am in Port Harcourt.

But MTN offices in Lagos do same. Visit any MTN office to you,if they don't do NIN registration there,they will direct you to any of their office where that is done. And it is free.

the first thing they check is your bvn,when they input your bvn,if your bank has enrolled you already they will simply forward the soft copy to the printer and print it out,no new registration will be done.

But you do new registration if your bank hasn't enrolled you,and that is the one that takes like 3-4 weeks for your NIN to come out.

If your bank has enrolled you,and you do new registration and there happens to be discrepancies in your registration with your bvn information,you have worsen your problem.

You will have to travel to Abuja to correct the info.and you know naija,that will look like an almost impossible feat

You have yourself to blame. You waited till you needed the slip to retrieve your sims to do nin registration. You're one of those that take things for granted

Go to ur App Store, download the Nimc mobile app, input ur NIN number and print out the ID card it will generate for u

TAKE FOR EXAMPLE IF I REGISTER FOR NIN LAST WEEK AND I WAS GIVING MY NIN NUMBER THIS WEEK ACCORDING TO MTN OR ANY OTHER NETWORK PROVIDER YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH OR MORE FOR YOUR NIN TO BE SYNCHRONIZED IN THEIR DATA BASE.
IF U DIDN'T WAIT AND U GO FOR SIM REGISTRATION OR WELCOME BACK DURING THE REGISTRATION ERROR LIKE NIN DETAILS CAN'T NOT BE FOUND
THE PROBLEM IS NOT FROM MTN,THE PROBLEM IS FROM NIN WEBSITE BECAUSE MTN NEED TO Validate YOUR NIN FIRST BEFORE REGISTRATION FOR WELCOME BACK.

I did same thing at one registration center ikorodu then I later proceeded to MTN office at Unilag, it didn't take 10mins to get everything done at the MTN

i had NIN generated through BVN, but I didn't know, so I later proceeded to register for another NIN at one of the centre at ikorodu, a month after the reg, my slip did not come out, that was when the guy at the centre said I might have gotten NIN through bank that was the reason why it got delayed.
He later collected my BVN to confirmed it.
So he used the bvn to write my NIN out, but MTN office at ikorodu declined said I need to come with the Slip, so I went back to the guy and he used the BVN to print the newly improved NIN slip that contains the Information of the one generated at the bank, after that I didn't bothered to go to ikorodu center because of their arrogancy due to the crowd.
I went to Unilag because no stress at all, only me and one lady, I went with my sim pack, pvc and 1k and the NIN slip that I got.
