An elderly pastor was arrested on the streets of London for making "homophobic comments" and telling passers-by that same-sex couples were against "God’s created order".

Pastor John Sherwood and Pastor Peter Simpson were preaching outside Uxbridge tube station in West London on Friday, April 23, when police officers were called on them because of a statement Sherwood, 71, made while "expounding the final verses of Genesis 1".

Police soon arrived at the scene, saying they have received complaints about "homophobic comments" made by the pastor that were causing "distress" to members of the public.

Officers were caught on video asking him to stop preaching against LGBT+ people, which he refused to do

Sherwood was then told he was under arrest and was asked to come down from his step stool.

The married father-of-two was placed in handcuffs and taken away in a police car before being questioned about what he would do if his children were gay.

I think people forget that following God's Word--His standard--His bueprint (the Bible) on how best the world should function here on earth---is the obligation of one who professes belief in Whom He said He is.
It is not a smorgasboard religion where one gets to choose what he/she believes to be truth or of little importance.

In this world, unfortunately, there are negative consequences (99 percent of the time) for speaking the truth of God's Word. Followers of Christ shouldn't be surprised as we are told this in the Word.

It is not "hate" to speak lovingly what God has told us to warn people of.....the results of living any type of lifestyle that is contrary to God's will and way. Sin covers a wide range of behavior..sins of commission and sins of omission.
